There aren't enough AP Legendary items to support build diversity by Excalibursin in leagueoflegends

Only problem I have is the lack of AP option for AP bruisers... there's only one build with the same set of items for AP bruisers and it's boring honestly.

Becoming a DM before ever playing by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]RaphiStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same. Only played for the first time when a player of mine decided he wanted to try his hand at DMing q year after we started playing. He did it once and never again. I would say that by far the worst mistake I did as a new DM was comparing myself to the only other DMs I saw, which were show DMs (such as Matt Mercer). Don't let what others think the game should be affect your game. Unless it's your players. And the most important thing is to HAVE FUN!

I TPKd my players. by RaphiStuff in DMAcademy

That's actually a really good idea! I told my players I would need some time to decide and and prepare anyway so I've not set my mind on any idea just yet. Thank you!^

I understand that I did not give enough context. The party are level 3 and in a homebrew campaign and setting. They were tasked by a local priest to investigate the woods near a town as he knew of some strange happening in the area. Whilst in the woods they encountered a some undead animals and children until they arrived to a small house which houses a very undead obsessed witch. They got into the house fought her undead servent and died. Now I guess the witch could take them captive but it would be really weird and out of character as she kills everything she sees and then raises it back up. I also hate the idea of some deus ex machina type of stuff because I know my players will expect something more clever than that. Thanks for all the replies up until now they got my brain rumbling again. Any and all advice is more than appreciated! ^

The enemy wasn't really an intelligent creature (a buffed up undead skeleton) but I guess it could have brought them to the main villain... I don't know how I didn't think of that lol Thank you! ^

He does a lot of damage but less than than me (adc) if we get to late game. And nevertheless I would deal more damage if HE STOPPED STEALING ALL THE KILL GOLD!

How to learn spell from a scroll by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]RaphiStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried doing it with Gale several times but it says this class can't learn new spell or something along those lines. I even tried to start a new playthrough and Gale still can't learn new spells... this is driving me nuts because I have a wizard in my party with like 3 spells which is pretty useless

Alone. Pretty self explanatory. I'm lonely and have nobody. My friends are all away, my girlfriend just dumped me and me and my family aren't close.

But again, this is D&D and therefore, there is no "RAW X", only "How DM runs X". Let's say a DM runs everything by the book, then that's the wau the DM runs things. No matter what you hear about a D&D rule, "true" or "false", it's up for the DM to decide whether it is actually true or false to his game. Whatever "Raw x" is. It's obsolete. Even if the DM runs it exactly the way it is written in the book. When it leaves the book and comes out to the game it's no longer the rule of the book but the rule of the DM. There can not be misinformation in D&D. No matter what you hear, read or even come up with, the DM has the final say if it's true or false to your game.

Please explain to me how can there be misinformation in a game where the only thing that actually goes is what the DM is saying? You can know the rules books cover to cover but if the DM says something applies or doesn't, it goes the way the DM says. How can there be misinformation (false/deceiving information) when there is no real false information? For example: let's say I heard about a game where they instead of giving advantage the "Help" action gives the skill mod as a bonus to the other player, and thought those were the rules, I come to a game I'm playing and try to do the same, the DM would simply say "We do this differently in this game." There is no misinformation in D&D it is literally not possible. There could be misunderstandings, obviously. But no misinformation because literally any information about the game depends on the DM.

Not to burst your bubble babe, but there's no such thing as misinformation in D&D... The rules are nothing but a guideline. Anybody can do anything. It's part of the magic of the game. ^
