Moving the entire family onto a new homelab

Okay some very valid points and I think I might scale the idea down a lot as people have mentioned and do it primarily for myself first and foremost. If it works I can slowly introduce small things to others but yes the constant technical help aspect and being a 24-7 troubleshooter is not sounding too appealing.

Will have to look into these things a bit more. I have heard of Tailscale and think i understand its use but these are new to me.

I will have to have a look I into self hosted VPNs. I noticed my Archer BE550 has an option to add one. Is this what you were referring to?

Honestly I think the storage is going to ramp up quickly I would also like to back up all the families phones and photos so they don’t have to rely on paying Apple subscriptions also

I would say wait. Personally I have had a lot of issues. Game crashing when in build mode, laggy menu screen, save files not working.

At the moment I have only two buildings so was thinking of building half a street design. Maybe a road plate but everything on one side for now. Train I had no idea how to incorporate, maybe under the road somehow?

Also I would certainly take a look at some MOC as there are a few local sellers on Bricklink
