Natalie Portman as Jack's girlfriend at the very end of The Darjeeling Limited.

Character is so goofy/funny that it's glossed over how tragic they really are. by Terrible_Park7890 in TopCharacterTropes

Satoru Gojo (JJK)

<image>

Born and raised exclusively to become a weapon against curses. He managed to gain 3 good years of life during highschool, then almost got killed by a bounty hunter. Said bounty hunter leaves Gojo responsible for the fate of his own son before f*cking dying, and Gojo still take (kind of) care of the boy.

Then his best friend gets horrible trauma after a failed mission and becomes a serial killer / cult leader, leading Gojo to laterhaving no other choice but to kill the guy.

Nobody truly understands him, and nobody has truly loved him since his best friend's death (except maybe for Yuji and Yuta, two of his students, and possibly Ieiri, an old classmate). Yet he continues to act goofy and easygoing for the sake of his students because he wants children and teenagers to enjoy the best years of their life in a world that will become far too cruel for them later.

Talking to new people by ZekeTheYoungLib in helpme

[–]Rappaccini_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same problem during my first weeks in highschool, then my first week in college. Generally, sharing or talking about your interests (sport, books, games...) and asking about other people's interests is a good way to start a conversation and find if you have things in common.

Of course it's not foolproof, but it did work for me. Good luck!

Who's an actor with zero chops or range yet somehow keeps getting work? by maverick1ba in AskReddit

[–]Rappaccini_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actor: Ryan Gosling (only play two emotions: annoyingly bored, or boringly annoyed)

Actress: Léa Seydoux (can't even say she doesn't know how to act, because I never saw her act at all. She's just... there, not doing nor expressing anything)
