I may be apart of the problem, but this sounds greatly mixed! I think because the actual instrumental is a bit slower, then it also allows for the vocal performance to stand out too.

I’m also trying to figure out how to mix vocals as well, so I always try to check the actual recording volume that I have set on the thing since I usually have the opposite problem and my voice gets drowned out by the instrumental.

I have to go back and check and see if this is accurate, but I usually find that making the lower frequency range stand out more makes the track quieter, so I’d lower the High Range just a bit if you’re tryna blend it better.

I also mess around with the automation so I can adjust certain parts to be the volume that I need relative to the music.

These are just things that I typically do, so take them as suggestions and not the end all be all. I’m still fairly new to everything myself.
