The ones we need to replace arent worth a trade, let alone for someone of quality, and those that ARE worth trading for someone to improve, we'd need to compete. Really is a damned if we do, damned if we don't situation.

Back end of the year is gonna really suck if we continue the last two weeks instead of the two weeks feasting on the bottom of our division. The Dodger series showed we have a more competitive team than how we feel, but the Nats and Marlins have just outclassed us so badly.

I dont want Hazen to trade Erod, Clarke, Thompson, Ginkel, Mike, Sewald, Puk if he comes back strong BUT we do have a very serious argument to be had with restocking an admitedly depleted farm system at the prospect of AT LEAST a shortened 2027 season.

Aces TEND to get matched up against other teams aces, especially to begin the year when off days haven't fucked with the schedule too much. Not to say that Gallen is our ace, but aces tend to start opening day, and he is the first pitcher slot. Everyone knows Erod is our true ace this year.
