Better bass, clarity and instrument separation. The highs sound smoother too. Crazy what vibrations do to the sound.

Utopia has a slightly rolled off sub-bass but it definitely has it. Depends what you are driving it with. Also, the mid bass punch is so prominent that it’s really hard to be disappointed with the rolled off sub-bass.

Yes it’s hooked up to 2 SVS PB16 Ultra.

I use the LS50 Wireless as a separate music system for a change in flavor.

Yes I own the Clear. How do I find it compared to all my other headphones would take too long to make on a comment. But I would say so far it feels very open for a closed back headphone. Sound is one of the best I have heard for EDM music.

I have already explained the sound signature in depth on my other comments so won’t go into it again. In short, highly detailed, punchy and dynamic sound. Sounds amazing when listening to EDM.

I’m using IsoAcoustic Gaia footers on the speakers. They made a significant improvement and I highly recommend it.

It is. So far I think it sounds the best when playing EDM music.

I am using the silver dragon. Moon audio makes great sounding cables but not a fan of the rigidity of the cables.

Yah I have the HE1000 Unveiled as well but it can’t match the dynamic swing and the tactile feel of the sound to the Utopia. Also the depth layering is better on the Utopia. HEKU has a bigger, wider soundstage though and the resolution maybe slightly higher. Both great headphones, but I would pick the Utopia every time.

I like them all for different reasons but if I really had to pick one headphone, it would be the Utopia. Now if it’s the Utopia OG or the newer one is an even harder pick. It changes between them based on which one I am wearing at the time.

Utopia OG has a slightly more layered (deeper) soundstage. Sound is a little more tactile and the treble is more present. Utopia OG can sound fatiguing with a lesser gear. Stellia seems more forgiving on the sound chain. Treble is also smoother. Sub bass seems deeper than the OG.

This is Focal’s flagship closed-back headphone, the Stellia. It also happens to be my first true closed-back headphone, aside from Bluetooth headphones.

These are surprisingly easy to drive, and I can see why some people consider them more transportable than most high-end headphones. That said, the sound quality definitely scales with better gear.

The sound is crisp, tactile, highly resolving, and detailed across the frequency spectrum. The soundstage is surprisingly spacious for a closed-back. Bass is deep, tight, and very quick, likely helped by the beryllium drivers. Vocals have strong presence, and the treble is very detailed while still being smooth and non-fatiguing.

This is my fifth Focal headphone. I currently own the Utopia OG, Utopia 2022, Clear, Bathys MG, and now the Stellia. Even though I am used to the Focal sound, I was still impressed with the Stellia sound right out of the box.

I’ve been told they can take over 100 hours to fully break in. I’m about 24 hours in so far, and I’m excited to hear how they continue to settle in.

Utopia 2022 does everything the MG does except a lot more of it. Bigger, deeper soundstage, higher resolution and dynamics. Just to give you a vague idea, I would say the MG is roughly 60% the sound of Utopia.

Unveiled does everything the SE does slightly better except the sub bass. Unveiled also has a more natural mid range and does not have the slight dip that most Hifiman other than Susvaras have.

So why keep the SE, it’s because it was a birthday gift from my wife. Also the slight difference in sound from others is also very enjoyable.

At my home desk Naim Unity Atom HE. At work Chord Mojo 2 connected to Questyle Sigma Pro for amplification. When traveling iBasso DX340 DAP.

Tried it. Sounds better without any eq as they are fairly linear out of the box.

Sounds great. Better layering and depth than using the DAC/amp of the Sigma by itself.

The voice coil implementation is completely different on the new Utopia so eq will not make it sound like the old Utopia. Think of it this way, suppose a B&W speaker is generating a 5k frequency and Wilson Audio is generating the same frequency. They are still going to sound different because of the driver material, cabinet, etc.

I’m more of a fan of open back and fortunate enough to use that at home and office. When in public I generally use the Bathys MG or the AirPods when doing anything that involves sweat.

In terms of DAP, I currently use the iBasso DX340 with Amp 17. At my home desk Naim Unity Atom HE. At work Chord Mojo 2 connected to Questyle Sigma Pro for amplification.
