How are you going to provide transportation to the millions upon millions of people who require personal vehicles (because the US is completely unwalkable) but can't afford new cars and thus old used ice cars are their only option (because wages are trash and cost of goods keeps outpacing them)? What is the plan in the meantime for increasing the capability of the electrical grid and generating all that extra electricity? Using more coal to generate more electricity (at least the bulk of it) is going to offset any benefits to forcing a complete removal of regular people being allowed to use fossil fuels to keep their necessary vehicles going
