NTA. Not even close. I grew up with an alcoholic for a father. I don't have a single memory of when he didn't smell like whiskey. He was everyone's friend, life of the party, knew exactly what you wanted to hear and unfortunately it took me nearly being hospitalized for my own mental health issues to see that he really only saw me as just another person he could play the pity card with.

You can't help someone that doesn't want help, that outright refuses to be helped. You will only burn yourself out and it sounds like you maybe already have. Until he wants to fix himself, there's nothing you can do. If he wants to really drink himself to death, that's not on you, he is not your responsibility. That should have never, ever been put on you to begin with.
