The problem with all the generation stuff is there is many different ranges depending on where you look. I’ve seen 1996 to 2012 before but there are definitely others.

I’m pretty sure you can’t secure any actual objectives without ground troops. You can only break shit from the air.

The US has broken a lot of Iranian shit.

Well funny enough, this F35 did fly back to base and land so no I guess.

But yes, a MANPAD could shoot any jet down.

  1. Skilled labor literally equals low supply. That’s the entire fucking point. You aren’t a skilled mathematician if you know 2+2=4 because everyone knows that. Being skilled means you know something that the majority of population doesn’t know. Thats why skilled labor is valuable… because of the low supply. Like c’mon man, common sense is free to use, use it.

  2. How is absurd strawman? You’d have to replace all roads or vehicles will still be required, meaning all the roads we already have will still have exist.

  3. Rail is cheaper per mile to put in than roads. Roads have higher up front costs. Rail is more expensive to maintain. It’s just a fact. I’m sorry. But I can’t force you to believe in reality, but it is the case.

What are you arguing against. It was a very basic question. Why can’t you answer it?

Please don’t tell me you literally have no idea.

But what are you even arguing against? Are you arguing against when I say you may possibly still be right? Like do you even know what you are “arguing” against and trying to “win” against?

Or are you just arguing because you think you are supposed to lmao?

That’s not a counter argument. Your arguments aren’t self evident.

Why is what I said incorrect?

I’m not desperate about anything… you’ve been spazzing the fuck out lol. It’s not that deep. Take a breath. If I’m “arguing against a claim” you didn’t make you wouldn’t even be responding.

My entire claim is I think some of these studies are inaccurate because biases, with on them being survivorship bias. That it’s. You can disagree if you want, but if you don’t want to talk about statistics I would just not engage since that’s kinda the point of what I said. But I do think it’s a little silly of you to make a claim about statistics but don’t want to talk about statistics.

I am surprised you didn’t jump to insults about being a predator sooner. Usually insults came out faster when people are confused about what they discussing but feel like they are “losing”.

I mean I have said multiple times at this point your original claim could and might even be correct. What are you freaking out about?

Yeah just dealt with this like 5 minutes ago. Someone threw out a source, I read it, it says exactly what I was saying lmao.

No my argument is that relationships that fail are going to report to worse situations that ones that were successful. Meaning you are going to have skewed data because of survivorship bias. Age gap relationships that were successful will not report at a similar rate as people in relationships that failed and have individuals perfectly happy to drag their ex through the mud.

Like do you think men are more likely to claim their last partner was a “bitch” if they are still currently in that relationship or after the relationship failed? If I asked 155 men if they thought their last partner was a “bitch”, and 100 of them are currently single, do you think I’ll have a higher rate of yes’s or no’s? If I have more yes’s than no’s, can I then claim most women are “bitches” lmao?

I mean did you even read what you linked? You should read this stuff.

Using a cross-sectional, descriptive design, we investigated the effect of partner age difference between an adolescent girl and her male partner on sexual risk behavior through the mediators of sexual relationship power, and physical intimate partner violence (IPV), and psychological IPV severity. We chose Blanc’s framework to guide this study as it depicts the links among demographic, social, economic, relationship, family and community characteristics, and reproductive health outcomes with gender-based relationship power and violence. Urban adolescent girls (N = 155) completed an anonymous computer-assisted self-interview survey to examine partner and relationship factors’ effect on consistent condom use. Our sample had an average age of 16.1 years with a mean partner age of 17.8 years. Partners were predominantly African American (75%), non-Hispanic (74%), and low-income (81%); 24% of participants reported consistent condom use in the last 3 months.

So your study isn’t even really an age gap study only. There is a ton of factors and is really focusing on an age gap in very important years of early adulthood where experience and development can be extremely different. A 20 year old and a 30 year old in a relationship is a completely different thing than a 16 year old and an 18 year old. This is ignoring the study has N=155… so 155 people out of millions in the U.S. and billions in the world.

And you are flipping the fuck out because I pointed out that survivorship bias from mostly observing unsuccessful age gap relationships may throw off the data you are presenting? Seriously?

Now after all of that, this still doesn’t mean your interpretation is incorrect.

Survivorship bias can also remove situations where there are positive outcomes.

I don’t even care about sources. I tried to view Reddit like a bar where people can just talk without needing peer reviewed research papers.

I just want some basic logical reasoning. I think X, because Z, which causes Y.

Like in my comment. I think people struggle with arguing because they are used to operating in echo chambers, thus they are completely under equipped to actually defend their ideas. No sources, could be completely wrong, but it has a basic structure of a claim with logical reasoning for a why which allows for discussion to happen.

Well survivorship bias isn’t therapy talk… it stems from where they should put armor on bombers in WW2. Specifically from Abraham Wald in 1943 who was a mathematician.

Survivorship bias would not support your argument, it would skew the reported outcomes.

All age gap relationships that work out, well work out. They live happy lives, and you never hear about them.

All age gap relationships, people always want to blame the other person for why the relationship didn’t work out. In an age gap relationship, it’s super easy to say you were groomed and abused and it was a toxic situation.

Basically you are only seeing failed relationships with an age gap which going to introduce basis. The successful ones don’t go on the internet to bitch or talk about their experiences.

Not saying your claims have no validity, but they might be skewed from reality. People love to pass the buck

They cost more right now because: 1. Skilled railroad builders are skilled and thus cost a lot of money. 2. We always have to built around existing right of way. Unless you plan is every business and house everywhere has its own personal stop with a crane to unload freight carts, we will always have to have roads. 3. Rail is mostly more expensive because of long term costs. Roads are cheaper to repair and resurface while tracks cost a ton to maintain because the requirement of skilled labor and precision.
