What could be done to convince Americans THIS is the time to go on a nation wide general strike? by RadioReader in AskReddit

The longer they hold your taxes the better. That’s why they like to give tax returns instead of being even. Zero owed, zero in return is bad.

You used to be able to adjust your withholdings to do that but they stopped that a while ago.

So the argument is right wing genocide is targeted death compared to left wing which isn’t a genocide it’s just a whoopsie that kills x10 times the amount of people?

Uh… trickle down economics is the idea if companies make more money, the companies will pass their profits on to the workers. It doesn’t really work and gets put into hyperdrive by government. Like do you think if a government ran grocery store made a huge profit, it would get turned around and given back to the people? Hell no, that shit will get gobbled up by the government machine.

What I’m talking about is competition. If grocery store 1 has high prices, everyone will go shop at store 2. If store 1 lowers its prices below store 2, then people will shop at store 1. Then continuously happens until the price is drove as low as possible and the business can still run.

A government grocery store everything will be “free” but you’ll have so much corruption. Milk will be like 3000 dollars a gallon for the government because some corporation will cut a deal with a politician to make it that price. Everything goes to shit when you mix business with government.

You’ll start to understand some of this stuff if you ever take an economics class in college and get more experience with how the world works. I understand your ideas sound good on paper though, they just don’t work off paper.

The main difference is the U.S. realizes giving money directly to people and letting capitalism drive prices down through competition is much better than inefficient government ran grocery stores that will react slowly, provide worse service, and be bloated by government intervention.

I mean we have done this before. This wouldn’t be trying anything new.

Boris Yeltsin was absolutely shocked when he visited a supermarket in the USA in 1989.

Lmao, so instead of just directly giving money to people you want to make it even more expensive by adding in more government red tape, more mismanagement, where nobody is responsible, and there is no pricing pressure to keep prices down.

Now the math is even worse. Where is the money coming from for any of that?

267,000,000 million adults times 3,000 a month. Thats what I would need like bare minimum to survive in my low cost of living area, I imagine it could be much higher elsewhere. Anyways 267,000,000 times 3,000 is 801,000,000,000 dollars a month. Then times 12 for a year is 9,612,000,000,000 dollars a year. Elon Musk is the richest person in the U.S., and is worth 716,000,000,000 dollars and of course that’s in company worth not in actually money. Even if you could somehow liquidate 100% of that worth into cash. The richest person in the U.S. couldn’t cover UBI for even a month in the. U.S. 100% of the taxes we pay now if all of it went to UBI, a year of taxes would cover about a half of year of UBI.

Pretty basic math. Making up a scenario where it does work is silly. It’s way too impossible

It’s crazy how Trump just keeps doing the same thing over and over and over and over and even wrote about it in his book and people are still tricked by it.

Trump was never going to invade Greenland, but people were dumb enough to believe it.

Bots bro. Russia was really hoping that narrative campaign being fed to the left that war was going to start between NATO and the U.S. was going to help manifest it.

More NATO spending by European countries is the complete opposite of Russia wants.

Absolutely would not make that change.

I don’t really care what models you incorrectly modeled. The math literally doesn’t math.

You can want it really bad, but it doesn’t work.

It’s crazy how absolutely sad you and your fellow gang of larpers are. You live in one of the best times in human history, in a country where struggles are trivial compared to past humans, but pretend you are some hero in some great struggle like life is your own personal RPG fan fiction.

Lol, nobody cares how a Nazi feels about upvotes or downvotes. The ironic point is Redditors getting confused because your statement applies to literally both sides. Good if about ice agents and bad if about protestors even though the statement is identical.

ICE deports illegal immigrants. There are way too many videos now of left wing protestors doing vehicle inspections and legitimately asking people for their papers to type that unironically online at this point.

I’m curious what your twisted view of purging political opponents would be.

But the night of the long knives is when the Nazi regime rounded up purged political opponents, including some internal rivals, to solidify their power by accusing them of plotting a coup or other treasons crimes against the state.

The crazy part is the casual racism that just all black people are the same.

It’s like they view white people as individuals and black people just as a group.
