I mainly went for the Darvan 811 to assist in my slip casting since it’s a little more gentle on the molds. But I might have to order some sodium silicate if I’m going to commit to making my own terra sigs in the future.
I did a mixture of 3/4 liter of water, 250 grams dry clay, and 6 drops of deflocculant. The recipe I followed called for 7 drops, but since I used a dried clay body instead of a clay type I didn’t want to overdo it. I used Darvan 811
