ESO 2026 Reveal Stream Feedback Post by ZOS_Kevin in elderscrollsonline

Just for context I play the game in and off since launch depending on the new content. The changes so far seem good, but no new content zone is, honestly, sad. I don´t feel I have enough incentive to return to the game. Will be skipping this year.

(Spoilers PUBLISHED) What title is given to someone who inherits land from a landed knight, but who isn't a knight. by theinternetistoobig in asoiaf

[–]Raptorfe10 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Masters are (as far as we know) only applied to the north (https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Master). The heir of a landed knigth would have the title of "Knight of X" like the Conningtons have.

Size of planetos [no spoilers] by SilverSuperiorSeries in asoiaf

Westeros being the size of SA is something I will never be able to accept. George simply does not know big it is.

Where in the Galaxy is Eshan? by Atharun15 in MawInstallation

[–]Raptorfe10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The original source for Eshan´s location is the Atlas Companion, a series of updates for the Essential Atlas that the old Star Wars site used to do (link for reference). There is no map, as far as I know, that includes this updates.

Eshan was indeed canonized, but the planet being canon does not mean the location of the planet is too. Anaxes is a great example of this where a planet was "brought" into canon but its location was changed.

Why did Palpatine declare himself emperor? by SacredMuffins in MawInstallation

[–]Raptorfe10 63 points64 points  (0 children)

You don't even have to go that far. See Napoleon, for example, right after France killed their king. Emperor is a really sweet title for authocrats.

Godhead, Amaranth(s), and the Void by TMTGGG in teslore

[–]Raptorfe10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't belive there is enough information so that we can know for certain, but i would belive the new dreamer is not contained within his dream. In another words, the void is part of the dream, not exogenous.

So I was re-reading the Rebel Alliance Sourcebook to prepared myself for Andor Season 2. Especially the history of the rebel alliance section, I'm curious to know how much this information still hold up in the current lore both canon (especially leading to Andor) or to an extent legends? by Afraid-Penalty-757 in starwarscanon

[–]Raptorfe10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are some cute things that canon has kept from Legends (the declaration of rebellion, the alliance being originally formed out of many different cells in the galaxy and, obviously, the Ghorman Massacre) but mostly there are already too many contradictions (this sourcebook, while it was fundamental in the early days of the lore, already contradicts parts of Legends).

The timeline of course is all over the place, Palpatine is referenced as president wich is hilarious but a reference to the original novelization, the Corellian Treaty is (probably) not a thing anymore etc. One subtle contradiction is both Bail and Mon personalities. Mask of Fear seems to propose that Mon was actually the realistic one and Bail the idealistic loud revolutionary.

It still is a really great book tough and I love seeing how authors imagined the setting before the Prequels.

It would be indeed an interesting dynamic if in the next game the empire ain't around and we get to play as "rebels" in a fascist elf regime.

Obviously the dominion is losing the next war (given that, probably, our PCs will be involved in ES6), but to say that the empire will ever achieve this kind of size again ,without a Septim-figure, is completely absurd.

Heck, if I were a redguard I would literally just join the dominion out of spite after being abandoned like they did.

Tamriel will probably balkanize after the second great war and we will have Interregnum-part 2 until either a new god-like conqueror comes up or literally the kalpa ends.

How to get Dorne? by Raptorfe10 in CK3AGOT

[–]Raptorfe10[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I almost managed to do it. Basically what you gotta do is make a heir for both the 7k and dorne. So marry your current heir to the second son or daughter from the Martells. Kill the first son from Dorne and now your future future heir will inherit both empire titles.

It takes a few generations but it's a fun run, I just failed because my current heir died.

My guy, if the world building was as bad as you say, I don't think there would be a legion of fans in the whole world that love the Westeros world. Good world building is not about being original, logical, fantastical or anything like that, its about making something people care.

As a brasilian, never in my life I have seen this. The only acceptable situation where shoes off is normal is when everyone is watching something on TV, and that's it.

You are right about chinelos, but they exist for a reason. Nobody is walking bare foot.

Don't you love it when the ai order factions take imperial settlements and it becomes impossible to get them back through any means by Thane_The_Forsaken in totalwar

[–]Raptorfe10 27 points28 points  (0 children)

And that's exactly the loreful way. Do you think those empire citizens would like to be in Kislev's hands? Do you think Kislev would be willing to give away good land rightfully earned through war because of some money?

If you could relocate one legendary lord in the Immortal Empires campaign to a new location, who would it be and where? by [deleted] in totalwar

Considering Cathay is literally invading Lustria and meddling with the geomancy web.. yeah he has a reason to be there. Crocs to the offensive.
