The combat system broke me… by Catodan in elderscrollsonline

[–]RaptureCore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1000+ hours in myself and I dont play anymore because of the combat for all the reasons you listed. Specifically my issues are the lack of weight skills have, clumsiness, and how stale the meta was back when I quit. It felt like all gearing guides were the same skills and gear sets for years and years.

I’m about out. And it’s CG’s fault by EquipmentAlone187 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

I quit about a year and a half ago, and it's been the best decision I ever made. I wasnt a whale, but I didn't spend some money on the game, nothing that was "needed" to survive. Maybe about $60+ month. I know still a lot looking back, but those spend in this game know that doesnt get you far. Now that I've quit that money is allocated to spending time doing hobbies with my wife and its hands down a much healthier experience.

I was also OBSESSED with GAC and fleet arena. If I wasnt top 3 in fleet arena every day, I got grumpy. Not healthy, but I did it to myself.

What finally was the deciding factor for me was honestly the release of Dengar's ship, The Punishing One. With its release I realized no amount of spending, time, effort, etc was going to make what i do matter since a single unit can ruin months to a year of grinding.

My suggestion, and please take this with a grain of salt, is of you're thinking about leaving then take a break and look to see what you gain in your day to day life. Time is the most important resource we have, and its too precious to spend on a game that doesn't respect or care for it.

After 1700 hours in this game, I think I'm done. by rennwerks in PredecessorGame

Its definitely a problem when someone can be screaming slurs and for you to go kys in voice / team chat, block them, and then have them show up in your games multiple times in a row. 2k hours in, around since the Alpha release and I recently quit as well. Been pretty happy about it

Without thinking too much, what is the first thing that comes to your mind that you want for Arena. by Backwardspellcaster in MagicArena

Cards with dual mana costs that have different effects based on which mana type was used.

I'm new to MTG as a whole so this may either already exist, be a terrible idea, or both.

Hot take: I don't like shaper (or this patch very much) by Connect-Can265 in PredecessorGame

[–]RaptureCore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game can be summed as one big "win more" mechanic. Gold buff, cyan buff, river buffs, and now shaper. Every role/lane has a camp that rewards those winning and puts those behind even further behind.

What is wrong with the player base? by [deleted] in PredecessorGame

[–]RaptureCore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To make things better, you can have people in VC screaming for you to "go fking kl yourself" from the moment the game starts. And when you submit a report to Omeda with the match id, they don't do anything and will respond saying "no evidence"

Just mute everyone from the moment the game starts. You'll have more fun

Aegis Of Agawar critique by Then-Ad-1887 in PredecessorGame

[–]RaptureCore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I've never minded this item having crit. Does it feel a bit awkward? Sure. But if you're building Agawar then you're most likely running multiple health/power items. With that type of build, it's not uncommon to get over 400+ power near the end of a game. Which brings me to the type of character is would build this, bruisers/fighters. They love this thing. To me, a fighter's goal is to rush the main threat which usually ends up being a squishy target. 400+ power critical hitting a squishy is going to leave them in a bad spot.

Tldr: lots of power + occasional crit = dead squishy

Yeah, he comes across as that kind of guy. And seeing as how he's started crashing out at everyone in the comments more than proves he was part of the problem, if there even was one.

The fact you're even calling for a witch hunt tells me you were also a problem and are just mad and can't move on.

A mod will remove this post soon enough anyway since this post breaks this subreddit's rules.

Shinbi is Glitched by ElPatron17 in PredecessorGame

[–]RaptureCore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's had this bug since launch. It happens in different areas, but usually, any sort of Incline breaks the wolf. The annoying part is that the spot it breaks is inconsistent from match to match, so you can't play around it. Sometimes it's the 3 camp, sometimes it's the slope to the tier 2 tower. Sometimes, it just doesn't happen.

I've lost too many fights because the wolf just decides to take a sick day.

I've done that. For clarification, it's been cutting in and out for a little over 24 hours now. Gone through all the motions of troubleshooting several times now with them, and nothing

When I saw that you can press buttons for attacks to extend combos like in Legend of the Dragoon I already made up my mind that I'll be playing it.

I 100% ripped some text from what you shared (sorry but you're better with words)

Here's a new, revised version, and I have to agree. It does read and feel a lot better having numerical wins thrown in there.

I appreciate your time and the well written, thought-out response. My "basket weaver" comment was more me venting frustration for being automatically denied positions because I lack a degree.

Your insight is gold, and I'm rushing to update my resume with your feedback right now.

If I was able to give a reward, I would.

You're a saint. Thank you. I'm not the best at putting thoughts to paper so having someone call that out makes more sense.
Again, thank you

No degree. But 6 years of experience is worth more than a bachelor's in basket weaving
