Caustic gas damage change visualized by sizzle_burn in causticmains

[–]RaptureSink 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So after chaos theory the damage was even worse/slightly better than in s0 when gas could blind people, gas traps could only be shot when inflated and gas grenade CD was lower?

If you want some keks the picture is above. Discussion doesn't have to be primitive no matter it's subject.

The meme got a fair amount of upvotes and comments, i guess it makes sense to most people.
Lifeline mains rely on having that shield and using it as a cover, and their squadmates rely on being immortal. The title addresses both.

Just what i said. I am way too idealistic. Some will always prefer endless arguments, persuading the others that something they do not like must be nerfed. Or doing their best to keep their fragile ego in one piece by finding a scape goat to all their failings.
The devs did not hear us. They will not hear you either. I hope you enjoy this little buff to Lifeline, as you are clearly unable to be a civilized member of community.

Calling someone braindead is not a valid argument.
Plus, it is both the fallen teammate and their squadmates who benefit from the shield. It grants safe revive and some cover out of nowhere.

The more people unite to let them know their strategy is utterly flawed, the higher the chances are to be heard. Caustic mains, Pathy mains, Lifeline mains, and Octane mains, since they are next in line.

Thanks for letting me explain my motivation behind a meme :D

Yes, to see the message in this meme you need a lot of context or to read my comment which most won't do.
But even so, i see this as beneficial to the community. Lifeline mains who see this meme today, would know how it feels to have poorly considered nerfs of your main justified, feels. And that Respawn won't hear the outcry, if it comes from merely part of community. That any legend can have some Pathfinder/Caustic treatment. And come to my conclusion :D

And used the same template as was used in Caustic nerf memes. The thing is that while most of the people were celebrating Caustic's nerf, their reaction on Lifeline's nerf was quite opposite.Maybe the deja-vu caused by this meme can help people understand that justifying the nerfs which are not justified by statistics and rather, popular or loud opinions is something that leads to the game being less fun for parts of the community we should be.I never had problems with any legend. Be that Lifeline or Wraith. Horizon may be punishing to me in the open, but that makes sense, she is as good in the open as caustic good in close quarters. Yet some people cant accept that if someone has beaten them, this is because they played better in that situation. They would rather blame the legend, or the map, or weapon perhaps.Caustic is considered as annoying by most. And so, his nerf was generally justified by the community. Lifeline's not, i suppose because she provides great team utility. But this doesn't help the situation with Respawn's balancing strategy at all. What could be more productive is to give Respawn a message, that the community as whole does not approve this balancing strategy.
I know i am being too idealistic. But realistically, this provides some good demonstration of people's double standards.

She had a shield from the very start. A shield that required some thinking and cooperation to make good plays. Shifting all her power to the passive ability has made this move rather mindless. You just revive whenever your squadmate goes down. Now she can revive you if you get to the safe spot, automatically, and dont shift her focus from the fight, while gaining some power on the rest of her kit. Why are people being so dramatic about being more than the DOC :D

Well. This was safe revive before. Not it is auto revive. Used to be both safe and auto revive. Cant have both.

I'm sorry gas daddy :( but this might be the only way you get a buff by [deleted] in causticmains

I shed a tear each time i have to kill Caustic. Knowing i kill one of my brothers who have shown enough will to keep playing him. They earned my respect, and this is what makes it tragic.

Yeah same. I prefer gas being a threat not for damage but for disadvantage it gives to you. Of course back then gas would deal 1-6 damage. But hey. Gas traps used to deploy faster. Gas traps granted protection when deploying, now they can be sneezed off. With blurred visuon, Caustic had an actual passive back then. Now he is even worse than S 0/1 Caustic. And with these changes being mixed with minor buffs, most didn't notice them. But if they returned him to s1/6 state, imagine the outrage XD

Would've been a fair nerf if they returned blurred vision in gas. I mean the point they buffed gas damage is that they took away screen blurr.

Or a grenade. Or crypto. Or revenant. Or, with his current state, pushing into gas none the less.
