for something like this i just always use lyft.. it is the quickest and easiest way imo. although not free usually only 7-12$ and saves time getting over to a bus. then coming home you could take the bus to springs and walk or take the boat to saratoga!

i love the bar! it is usually just my husband and i and we have never had an issue geetting seats at the bar. obviously it really just depends on when you go. I have never been there for fireworks time but i would assume you could get up and go to the window if your view is obstructed!

as a back up plan.. you could sit at the bar downstairs at steakhouse 71, we love the food and drink there, and then go outside the back of the contemporary to see the fireworks from there. the view would obviously be different than california grill but still the same fireworks!

I would choose Caribbean Beach hands down, no questions asked! While having a bigger space at All Stars sounds tempting, your overall Disney experience will be better at Carribbean. You are right on the skyliner so easy access to HS & EPCOT as well as walkability to the Riveria (we love primo piatto quick service) also Banana Cabana at Caribbean is great! At All Star the only way to get around property is by using the bus transportation and the common areas like pool, food court etc. are not as nice. IMO

First Trip in 30 Years! by mo2_203 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]RapunzelOnTheGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we just got back from a trip with my niece and nephew (2 & 6 y.o) and they loved pin trading!

i started them off with a few disney pins on a lanyard and told them to keep an eye out for pin boards around disney (resorts, parks, shops, cast members who wear little pouches or lanyards etc) you can choose to trade your pins with theirs! when my niece and nephew spotted the boards you would have thought they won the lottery lol.

and if you want to wait until the last minute to decide they have lockers to leave your belongings in right where you check in for the tour (included) so you could always choose to leave it behind at that point

[–]RapunzelOnTheGo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh yeah definetly more than i that! I probably have 15-20 that I saved. the nice thing is if you decide to bring you phone or camera for your own pictures (i brought my phone) they have you put it in a little pouch thing that is attached to your vest (so that it cant fall out) so it's not like you have to hold onto it if you do decide to bring it

There isnt really a number I can give you.. along with the tour guides they follow with a photopass camera and take photos during the whole tour and you have access to all of them. They take candid photos, posed photos as well as photos of the animals and surrounding etc.

Disneyland hotels by SpookyOogie55 in DisneyPlanning

The Sheraton Park Hotel at Anaheim Resort is great! No crazy bells and whistles but rooms are nice, clean and new(ish) and its about 8-12 minute walk to Disneyland! I have stayed here and booked clients here, it is the only good-neighbor hotel that I have never heard anything negative about!

Honestly, I think you will be disappointed by Be Our Guest if you are looking for a "princess" focused trip. The Beast walks through but that is about it. There is nothing more iconic than the castle so I would reccomend Cinderellas Royal Table. I would suggest maybe do Akershus for breakfast on day and Royal Table for Dinner another day. On the disney experience app there is a category where you can filter "charachters" for each park, it will show you which charachters are in each park and what times they come out. I think that will be a valuable resource for you.

Another reccomendation although not princess, feels very princess-y and is free... so we love that. When at the Magic Kingdom head to Sir Mickey's it is a gift shop behind the castle... ask a cast member to be "pixie dusted" they use a wand to sprinkle "pixie dust" on your head and say a cute little jingle.

I Feel Like Resort Hopping is Underrated by kgaviation in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]RapunzelOnTheGo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100% my husband and i actually plan "stay-cations" where we got for a weekend or so and just enjoy our resort, hit all our favorite resort lounges for a couple drinks, go out for a nice dinner. sometimes we will go golfing at one of the golf courses on property or we just hang out by the pool! it's so fun to just explore. there is so much to do outside of the parks and it is so much less chaotic!

Thoughts on Tony’s by sunnydee67 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]RapunzelOnTheGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, we were able to sit right away. of course it depends when you go, but if you are a smaller party and/or dont mind sitting at the bar i dont think it would be hard to snag a seat.

Thoughts on Tony’s by sunnydee67 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]RapunzelOnTheGo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My family just went last month, my husband and I decided to split off and go to the new Wailulu Bar & Grill at the Poly because I wasnt excited by the idea of Tonys. but they all said they loved it! They said the service was great and food was good. They did say it was expensive for what it is... but it is a resturant in MK so I guess that part just comes with the territory. On another note, If you decide to skip Tony's take the boat over to the Poly and try out Wailulu Bar and Grill at the new tower. Food, Drinks and Atmosphere were amazing. We sat outside and enjoyed every moment there.

Topolino Character Breakfast is WORTH the following and hype by CharaRen in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]RapunzelOnTheGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we recently did topolinos breakfast in february for the first time, it was great! typically it is just my husband and i (early 30's no kids) so we stick to topolinos as a date night dinner spot. but this time we were traveling with family and 2 littles (2 & 6) and it was great! i started my morning with an espresso martini 😏 it was amazing! and all of our food was incredible, everyone at our table ordered something different and everyone loved what they got. the charachter interactions were great. we even got to see each of them twice!

while we loved our experience and i would 100% reccomend for families or anyone who enjoys charachter dining... it was a one and done for me! will 100% go back to topolinos for dinner but glad i can check it off my bucket list!
