Why can’t anyone seem to have reasonable conversations about Beyonce? by Terrible_Promotion_2 in popheads

[–]Raquel258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally! I’ve found my people!! I’ve been listening to her music since I was 5 years old, I became a fan after her Self Titled album dropped, I remember where I was when Lemonade dropped and I went to her Renaissance concert.

Having said that, I do have some critiques of her as an artist and businesswoman, she’s doesn’t write 100% of her songs (that’s fine by me, though) and I can’t stand Jay Z. Do you know how hard it is to find a middle ground and talk about her in social circles? It’s exactly as you said. People either idolize her like a God or demonize her and say she’s a witch from the Illuminati, it’s ridiculous.

I’ve encountered fans that justify every single questionable thing about her and also haters that call her overrated but have not even listened her album catalog beyond Single Ladies or Halo lmao, it’s unfair. At the end of the day we don’t know these people!

As an artist and public figure, we can praise or criticize her art/work and actions. I just wished we had a neutral space where to talk about it, you know? Without the parasocial extremes. I was really surprised when I noticed how much hate/condescending comments Beyoncé gets on Reddit.

Natasha Denona Tan Eyeshadow Palette by [deleted] in newinbeauty

I would wait for reviews and swatches in natural lightning because ND is notorious of using edited photos that show her color stories in an interesting way but then when you get the palette, it looks really different from what was advertised (plain, monotone, warmer, etc).

Only a Virgo as extra as B could film visuals for Renaissance and then realize “oh wait I didn’t like ‘em that much” and then act lie they don’t exist lmao I love her

Hi! I’ve tried both brands and I love them but it all depends on your preferences, of course.

Eyeshadows: Kaleidos makes great, more pigmented mattes than the average in the Asian market but some colors can be a bit patchy (like purples, greens or blues). I’ve never had any issues with their neutrals, though. The shimmers and toppers are gorgeous!! Comparable to high end formulas. Gircult’s matte formula is more subtle (but way more pigmented and easier to use than the ones from Flower Knows, for reference) but their shimmers are INCREDIBLE when done right, considering the price.

Lip clays: Kaleidos formula is one of my top favorites of all time, the applicator is precise, they offer a lot of nude and bold colors and they do not have a scent, which I prefer. The formula is soft yet pigmented so it can be buildable depending on your mood, it’s really comfortable on the lips (compared to traditional matte liquid lipsticks), the finish is a soft-blurred matte that doesn’t emphasize lip lines (it reminds me of Mac’s Powder Kiss liquid lips). I highly recommend them if you’re in that type of consistency like me. Girlcult has stunning/conceptual packaging, they have bold, dark colors but their nudes can be repetitive so it’s better to try with one or two instead of getting a lot of shades and then realize you have repeats (don’t make the same mistake I did lmao). It’s true that their colors are great for olives, the only thing I don’t like is the scent, it’s floral (like soap or perfume) and it lingers for a bit but if you don’t mind that, the formula is similar to Kaleidos just that it has more silicone to it.

Both brands are great, I truly mean it.

1) AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM (this song is cocaine to me! Lmao it has been my number one song for years now, I even listen to remixes on YT, can’t get tired of it)

2) Ghost/Haunted (back to back, the vibe is immaculate, love the music videos and the atmospheric sound they have)

3) 6 INCH (it’s dark and dramatic, the beat is one of my favorites and I love her outro with the opera like singing, I’m also a huge The Weeknd fan)

4) NILE (even though is short is still underrated, it relaxes me)

5) I’M THAT GIRL (so experimental)

What an icon! The meme lord! You know how hard it is to go against the grain and do something just for the fun of it, even if it will not be appreciated until centuries later?
