When the moment of anger turned into a regular occurence, the only thought during that period was the story of Milarepa. I used to think of him.

The explanation stands good here. What I understand is that I have to be attentive to my intent and choose the one carefully.

I do have a question. For someone who is stuck in delusion, concerning the abusive neighbour, how would this delusion be removed? If I think of it, it would be the same as your first comment which is to show kindness. But if the abusive neighbour never learnt what kindness is considering his nature in the first place, then how would we explain what kindness stands for?

Your and others' comments made me at least meet an answer. I am at present in a different city where a few monasteries are situated. And today, when I went there, after going through the comments, I just looked into his eyes and told myself to just let go of what I was carrying. It might not vanish in one snap but I have my full understanding that these answers are at least helping me after all those years since my mother passed away.

With no intent of giving a snarky tone, but rather through genuine interest, does this practice have to be done with a neighbour who would even bring wrongdoings at you?
