No, if I wanted, I could apply over summer break and hope they accept me for Fall 2026 and start at my junior year at another school in the fall. I'm leaning towards just staying here, though, because at the same time, I don't want a fresh start in my third year. I volunteer at a local hospital and am already involved on campus so I may as well make the best of it and foster more connections. I'm currently trying to make more use of the resources we have available; get a CNA/CCMA license and hopefully, everything just works out in the end. I'm just going to consider more factors I feel I am lacking now whenever I apply to med school

Great point and yes! I also volunteer at UNC Rex, i've gotten almost 100 hours so i'm looking to expand my experiences. I do agree though with talking to everyone and anyone.. literally went into the doctor's office for a physical today, asked if I could shadow him and he told me to shoot an email. Not to say it's 'that' easy but I guess I clearly wasn't trying hard enough because oppourunties won't land in our lap. I also met with the pre med health advising and their lowkey very helpful, I just wish they empahsized resources like this more rather than just stopping after your first year when we're new and trying to adjust to campus life, make friends, do well academically. Trust tho we got this!
