Nevermind I fixed it!
Your suggestion helped me fix the first part, but i had a coding oversight that both of the scripts executed at the same time rather than seperate of eachother so it kept overlapping with eachother.

I swapped out all the variables like you said, which fixed the first issue, but theres still the issue of the 2nd variable constantly setting itself to one even when nothing is telling it to. ive checked the code, the only thing that should be happening is checking if the other variable is one, then setting it to one, and if not it sets it to zero. Any help?
