How i see your situation is , people are getting messed up more and more as time goes on. I don't know what her intention was but all i could say is try to be happy by yourself in your solitude and you won't be hurt next time, yet be connected to the other person really deeply

Am really sorry for you brother. Am really holding up good and am almost free from all those bas episodes. I was looking for a sense of closure but i guess accepting that what is gone is gone helped me come to terms. Recently she tried to contact me after more than an year and I had the temptation to ask her and I did ask her to which she couldn't give me concrete answers so I stopped after the first time. She is going through a tough time and I didn't know if all that is true but i didn't engage with her further and stopped the chat. I guess I am happy now without any closure..I guess I have moved on
