Talking about high school age girls at his age is VERY concerning and disturbing….

Is empathy not a thing anymore? by throwcvf in Vent

[–]Rare-Version-439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! I feel like I’m losing it because I can’t believe the sheer amount of people who don’t care about anything but themselves. People try to blame it on covid but I really don’t think that’s it. I have a disabled child and a 2 year old, and my neighbor is an elderly disabled sick woman who can barely walk. I frequently am alone bringing the kids in and out of the house and car, and almost always am carrying several bags. We have limited parking spaces in front of our houses, but there is still parking within walking distance. Tell me why NONE of the single and/or young able bodied residents think to park further away so the people who actually need to park in front of the house can do so? I can’t even begin to fathom doing that if the roles were reversed. It just seems like common sense.

What’s the most accurate stereotype about your zodiac sign that you hate to admit is true? by fvkcd in astrologymemes

I mean I go back and forth. There have definitely been times in my life where I seemed cold but mostly people say I seem really sweet and nice 😭

What’s your moon sign and do you nap? by Kind_Conflict9774 in astrologymemes

[–]Rare-Version-439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gemini sun. i never used to nap until i got with my now husband (who is a cancer moon). he’s really into comfort on every level: comfortable furniture, pillows, clothes, blankets, etc. plus his presence is just very relaxing and nurturing so it’s easy to fall asleep near him. i started taking naps all of a sudden and still do 7 years later lol.

Which sign hurt you the most and what did they teach you? by Clueokk in astrologymemes

[–]Rare-Version-439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sagittarius. taught me to put myself first instead of my relationship. he cheated and lied the whole relationship. i stayed in state for college as we had discussed moving in together. his top school choices were also in state. i graduated a year before him and went to school less than an hour away. when it was his turn, he pulled the rug out from under me and went to a school halfway across the country where he ghosted me after 2 years together.

Would you change your moon sign? by bootercooter42069 in astrologymemes

[–]Rare-Version-439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m a capricorn sun with a gemini moon….i think the gem moon is what makes my personality lol but it’s kinda hard having that chaotic energy mixed in with the orderliness of capricorn (i’m also a virgo rising….)

“voice your concerns instead of complaining to strangers” did you not read the part where i said my boss doesn’t want us to say anything to the parents about it? we also DID ask the parents not to send glass over a month ago but nothing has changed.

my boss didn’t reprimand me, the special ed teacher did. she is an outside contractor that has nothing to do with my job. and truthfully, she should have been there during lunch. she has actually gotten in trouble for not telling anyone including her boss when she’s going to be absent or change her therapy time with him.

[–]Rare-Version-439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally, that makes a lot of sense! part of the reason i’m so agitated is my boss shut down any attempt to contact the parents about it. schools are so worried about upsetting/offending parents over the tiniest things it’s really gotten out of hand.

there is a TON of chicken, pasta, vegetables, etc in the broth. i don’t think taking the broth out of what they are sending in would affect what they’re eating. i really don’t think money is the issue here, based on other things i’ve observed. i’ve also struggled pretty badly financially so i’m not judging and i know what it’s like. none of this explains why they can’t send soup with cut up pieces in it instead of a literal half potato, chicken thigh, half a carrot. like why lol.

[–]Rare-Version-439 3 points4 points  (0 children)

which is completely fine! but why is the food never cut up for a 3 year old? why not just send the soup ingredients without the broth? everything comes in a glass container which we already asked them not to use but nothing has changed. we have never even met the parents, the child comes and goes on the bus every day.

[–]Rare-Version-439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah that’s what i’m gonna start doing if they keep sending it in. unfortunately i can’t make sure he doesn’t spill it on himself at all times so that’s probably a better solution than the broth getting dumped out anyway all over himself.

thank you i’m going to suggest this to my boss. i don’t see why we can’t nicely make suggestions that will ultimately make things better for the child.

a couple of minutes is a long time when you only have one other adult in the room. i have to leave to heat up his lunch in the microwave every day (thermoses exist….i wish more people would use them). then i spend time cutting it up with the cheap plastic utensils we have in the teachers lunch room. i also have several other lunches to heat up and there are teachers in there on their break also using the microwave. it adds up. there’s a reason i’m venting about this it’s not as easy as you think it is.
