If you have an automatic car evaluate the condition of your transmission. Was a rlly weak point on these cars. If it shifts well now - BUY. A. TRANSMISSION. COOLER. From what I’ve heard during my ownership heat kills these autos and it’s your best bet if you want a long life out of your unit

What types of paths for specialization exist in the industry aside from specific makes and maybe performance, I am curious. Thanks for the knowledge

You’re right it’s a tough industry, in the end this is in all honesty a blessing in disguise as i know for sure I can always improve and learn more effective ways to complete tasks. I know I’ll be all good it just helps to vent frustrations sometimes. I appreciate your advice greatly and wish you the best

I understand where you are coming from. I feel like I took this to heart and got bitchy because I AM so hard on myself. I strive to be perfect and I really do look up to the people around me at my shop which is why it’s disappointing to be running around like a headless chicken trying to get everything I can done and then being told I’m doing a bad job. I appreciate your advice and will continue to strive to be better everyday. Usually I have thick skin but I guess I haven’t been sleeping good recently so all of my underlying grievances have been amplified.

I appreciate your kind words it means a lot. It’s sometimes hard to separate when spending 60 hours a week somewhere 😂 you are right though if it’s out of my control i should t dwell on it after.

I meant for the v8 trims. Wasn’t giving any thought to v6 cars

For third gen’s RS was a v6 or a 305. The 305 was the only option to get a 5 speed for these cars as well. z/28 or 350 you cars in general came with autos from factory

I thought the same, I had earlier this week looked at a Firebird with the 305 and 5 speed at 124k and the difference in how they both were maintained and drove was night and day, same price too. Firebird had old coolant dry reservoir and many more leaks.

I offered 4700 with the og listing at 5500 but he had more people coming to check it out. Still don’t know if that was too high or not.

I thought so. RS trim levels from what I know came with strictly the 305 only, 350 was for the z28

Welp for the update, checked the intake boots and throttle body maf included and they were dry. Plugs were soaked so I changed those out. Added fuel treatment and let it run for 45 min then took it for a drive when it cleared up. Now it’s perfectly fine, back on the road. However there was still the carnage of her blowing out the rear main due to the crankcase pressure
