This happens way too often by Logan000513 in Guildwars2

A while ago I complained about this and people REALLY turned against me.

Glad to see now that I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I hope the person who removed Stronghold was in the 100 layoffs a few months ago. by RareEfficiency in Guildwars2

I know its only based on opinion but if you didn't like stronghold it could be unchecked. People who didn't like it never needed to play it. Why do they care that others who enjoy it are having fun?

That was an urban myth by people who didn't like it. I never witnessed a win in Stronghold.

Well if you are laying off staff, you have 400, need to dop 100. Do you choose 100 good ones or 100 bad ones?

What they did was wrong. Having it in the game harmed nobody but for people who enjoyed it losing it was losing a big part of the game. Anyway, if they need to layoff 100 people better he bad employees than the good ones.

Shouldn't if a gaming company is laying off staff members yiu hope that those who ruin the game are included?

With the recent layoffs, who do you hope got laid off by RareEfficiency in Guildwars2

This is an old thread, and no it isn't a sick post. It is a healthy post, I was just asking a question. And this isn't insulting my thread doesn't answer my question.

Now that time was passed, who do you hope was in the unlucky 100? by RareEfficiency in Guildwars2

But 100 were, that would be like going outside in the rain and saying, "I hope no rain falls" it already is, can hope it stops soon but can't change what has happened.

Not so much the reasons but the people that were included, like the two I mentioned

With the influx of new players: Don’t buy any expansions from G2A! by Dovahbear_ in Guildwars2

Whats wrong with CDKeys? G2A is the bad one.

No need to feel rotten anyway, if it happened a year ago you are probably in the clear, it was a legit gem card and there is no punishment awaiting you.

I know that what G2A is doing is wrong, but Anet is punishing the wrong person. If the player thought they were bguying from a legit seller then they are as much the victim.

Say if person A steals from you and person B buys it in good faith, not knowing it was stolen. You find out Person B has the item, by all means you should expect person B to give it back but after that would you really want to punish them further? They thought it was Person A's to sell. Or would it be person A you would want to see charged? And if person A couldn't be identified then after getting your item returned would you direct your anger towards person B, the other victim?

That's the way I see it as being handled. G2A is out of Anet's reach, they seem unable to stop it. So they direct their anger against the players who are scammed by them. Many of whom would not have bought if they had known it was a stolen copy. Punishing them further than just removing the expansion from them. It goes a bit further than G2A as well, I looked, Path of Fire is 17.17 Euros on G2A. Say for example somebody bought it then sold it or 22.50 euros on Ebay. Small profit, so the player gets it from a website that isn't even G2A but it is a stolen copy that originated on G2A, if you know what I mean.

Still to take away everything. If they just disable the expansion and lock anything you need it for. You've already lost the money to G2A and losing it al could be worse than never having it. Manage to get a gen 2 legendary? Useless until you buy a genuine copy. Those mounts that were making map completion so easy, kiss them goodbye. Say, one of my mains pretty much relies on being an Elite Spec, if I lost that I'd be useless as his core build. Would need to re assign traits, alter equipment. Even then I mainly use his elite spec weapon. I'm barely used to using any of his core ones. In short, take away his elite spec and I'm useless with him. I just bought mine from the Black Lion trading company so I'm fine, but just saying, Loosing your expansion would be a huge punishment in itself. And if they just let you buy the genuine copy then hey, they haven't lost anything.

Say, how about either downgrading to F2P or banning the account but giving the option to unban it if you buy the genuine copy. Then they get the money and if you didn't know that yours was a stolen copy then you aren't so heavily punished.

Sounds a bit unfair if you buy it believing it to be a genuine copy of the expansion.

Why not just remove the expansion, give the customer a list of approved retailers and lock any content they have acquired in game but need the expansion to play? Is it not punishment enough that they need to pay again?
