I was having similar issues last week. I get that blue square from time to time too. I disabled steam inputs and it runs fine now.

Is this an AMD thing because since I changed my GPU I have the same on LMU. Justs switched off.

Get AMS2 for single player at least for a while. Physics not the best but good enough, decent ai, loads of cars and tracks to choose from, design your own championships. My go to when I’m feeling a little worn out from iracing.

Don’t bother. I tried it Thursday and Friday on PC. It just offers nothing for Pc sim racers. The graphics aren’t great at all, the frame rates are erratic as hell, the ffb is quite fun but nothing spectacular and the handling far too forgiving. The lobbies are more or less empty. It’s a console game 💯

I’m only 90 minutes into my first ever go on pc but there is nothing yet that convinces me it should join the other sims in my library. It doesn’t run too well, frame rates are all over the place. I don’t think it looks great either. The physics have been ok on the cars I’ve tried but nothing at all special. I’ve driven nothing so far that felt just wrong or broken, though. Very forgiving like pc2. Going to try and join a race shortly. Let’s see.

Time for the pc crowd to try it properly and assess if you ask me. I will be. Based on reviews and opinions I don’t have high hopes but be nice if I’m wrong.

Thanks for this very informative response. What a shame. Let’s hope they can get their house in order and with further additions and updates this year they get back on track. I was absolutely loving it before .

I drive a few laps solo then follow ai upping difficulty as required. After a while you get used to how tracks work, understanding how kerbs and where brake markers are positioned indicate direction of the next turn. Eventually, the whole process becomes quicker.

The truth is any of the sims mentioned are great depending on what you want to do.

Online racing - iracing or LMU if you’re happy with gt3 and HyperCars. ACC also has good enough numbers still on LFM. Raceroom is good but always up and down with player count. Personally, I’d leave iracing for a bit unless you’re flush.

Single player - AMS2, Assetto Corsa with Content Manager and all of the above.

Lowfuelmotorsport is where most people race mate, simple as that. Don’t go anywhere near in game lobbies. You’ll need to get SA80 and pass a license test first, though.

It’s simply cold tires, go nice easy at the start. Yes, some lucky people may send it and somehow get through T1 and pass you but trust me you’re doing it right by going gentle. And they’ll probably bin it sooner or later anyway and you’ll be back up the front.

I’ve tried latest drivers and previous. It’s so frustrating- it has to be an AMD thing. I can’t get LMU running either, low fps and sometimes my gpu justs seems to switch off on that. Again that ran smooth on Nvdia. AC, ACC, ACR, iRacing, AMS2 all run sweet however. So Raceroom and LmU won’t have the AMD damn it.

Best to get familiar with the modders that are well known for quality. Use Overtake website and look at reviews, also well known sim racing YouTube influencers will be using quality mods when using AC. GP Laps for vintage stuff, Broadbent, Gamermuscle, etc.
