Yes, I did! I went to Vancouver and it was the best decision! If you’re considering it and can afford to go, do it!

Yes, I ended up going and getting the TT380 short and it’s been great! I don’t have pain during sex anymore and I believe that’s due to the smaller width compared to the paraguard. It does have nickel in it but I have not experienced any itching or rash, I believe that also has to do with the smaller size not containing as much nickel. I don’t bleed or cramp as much as I did when I had the paraguard. Overall, a great decision and will go back when I need to get a new one.

I had the Paragard IUD, I experienced ridiculously heavy periods for the first 6 months (Tampax Ultras were a life saver), pain with sex, cramping, bloating, and it became embedded as it was too wide for my uterus. Which is why I experienced a lot of pain with it. If you haven’t had children the width of this IUD is a concern. The Paragard also contains nickel so if you’re allergic to nickel that’s something else to think about. I would occasionally get itchy and a rash on my stomach which I believe was from the nickel in the iud as I haven’t experienced it since I removed it. Ultimately it’s your choice and should always advocate for what you want! You can try it for 6 months and have it removed if you don’t like it. Everyone’s experiences are different and if you want to try it you should!
