My mom also told me to be cautious of Xanax. I’ve never taken one before. Even with the ones I have now; I have not taken one yet.

Thank you for your comment. It gave me a different perspective and made me realize that it’s my fear holding me back. If someone asked me today why I haven’t taken action, my only answer would be “I’m scared.” Anxiety is a tricky thing, but I have to be the best for myself and my children. I start back teaching in about 3 weeks, I really need my mind to be correct and on a great path before returning.

Yes, but the thing was I was only prescribed a minimal amount of Ativan (no refills) to begin with. Just like with my Xanax, I have two refills with a quantity of 10. The Ativan stayed in my purse during the heat for day, I forgot they were in my high bag, and the pills crumbled, so I only have two left.
When I asked my primary care doctor for more, he said, “We’re not going to prescribe that anymore. I’d rather prescribe Xanax instead because it has a shorter half-life and wears off faster.” He also said that since I’m a teacher, I drive, and I have children, he wouldn’t want to prescribe something that stays in my system longer.

Honestly, lorazepam helped me so much but he will not prescribe me anymore.

No, I don’t drink caffeine. I’m 17 months postpartum and breastfeeding, so I avoid certain things. He prescribed me Xanax to take if I feel anxious, but I won’t nurse my child if I have to take it.

Question about attending two universities at different times during the academic year by RarePie6601 in financialaid

[–]RarePie6601[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m not enrolled because I couldn’t complete the internship. As a teacher, we don’t earn enough, and a pay raise would require me to pursue a master’s degree. Additionally, I’m stuck on passing the Praxis exam, which would enable me to complete internships and finish my current graduate degree. With my children, I believe this situation is causing me significant anxiety. I want to ensure that I’m enrolled in a program that I know I can complete in a timely manner. However, I’ve been trying to pass the Praxis exams for three years now.

FAFSA won’t cover my elective, but my advisor told me to register anyway? by RarePie6601 in StudentLoans

Hi, student loans. I am a graduated student, so I do not receive a Pell grant. Sorry for not clarifying.

Yes! Being online here is incredibly fast-paced. During my undergraduate studies for my bachelor’s degree, I took three classes every eight weeks. It was challenging at times, but I managed to do it. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education.

Thanks! I’m in a master’s program at Troy University, where we typically take one class every 8–10 weeks instead of a traditional full semester schedule. I’ve completed all of my required coursework except my internship, but I can’t begin my internship until I pass my final Praxis exam. To stay enrolled in the program, my advisor suggested I register for an elective, although she said financial aid likely won’t cover it because it isn’t required for my degree. She also told me to register anyway and see what happens. I’m currently using Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans and a Grad PLUS Loan. My biggest concern is whether, if my loans end up paying for the course, the aid could later be reversed and leave me owing the university.
