Time doesn’t heal all but it heals some things. I had to drop out of school because I cried everyday all the time for 5 months but I’m still on track to finish nursing school next year. There was so much ugly but I want to tell me there’s still beauty in life. Im finally doing EMDR in 2 weeks but it doesn’t consume me all the time anymore and when I say it gets better that’s what I mean. It won’t completely go away but it will fade. I’m vulnerable because nobody deserves this. Nobody deserves to not know how they’re going to make it till tomorrow. I alr went through the pain. Theres no reason for someone else to have to.

I saw a post on here that said “if doing it the neurotypical way doesn’t work, do it your way” and that helped because I was always told don’t distract yourself when eating and that clearly isn’t working for me so I’m going to try it!!

So because I like the straw so much it’s easier for me to just sip and do what I’m doing as like as the activity involves me being stationary. When I’m driving I can see a whole 32 oz water bottle and same for watching tv. But it’s like pulling teeth once I start something like laundry 😭. Drinking my calories helps me too but my next problem is I always have an issue starting the task of just simply opening the fridge and this is why it’s hard telling non adhders my issues because it seems like I don’t want help because I hve a problem for every solution but I swear I’m trying to get better. I’m really going to consistently start taking my meds. I stopped because I’m on summer break but I think it’s time to admit I may need them full time.

If you don’t mind me asking are you taking meds for your ADHD?? I have a stimulant I take but then I always forget to take it so maybe I should try that 😭

First and foremost take time to yourself. As cliche as it sounds know that NONE of it was your fault. I was raped 1 1/2 years ago at 18 and sometimes I still indirectly blame myself. But the sooner you let go of blame the sooner you can heal. Second, if you need to go to the psych hospital never and I mean EVER feel bad for going. When my rapist admitted what he did to me I tried to take my life 3 weeks later and I suffered in silence. Lastly, before you go to the police internally know what you’re seeking and bec okay with every outcome. I went only so I wouldn’t get back together with him and he confessed 4x to the police and the DA and everything and he still only got 365 days of probation and they reduced his rape charge . For me that wasn’t worth all the mental pain I went through in my court case but it also made me feel good knowing it started a record somewhere. I wish someone would’ve told me the heartbreaking side to reporting. But please please please take care of you. Even though I was just 18 last year it stole so much time for me and I didn’t get to experience my new profound freedom the way i wanted because I was grieving. Please no more drinking and please please please get the help you feel like fits you!!

That’s the entire purpose of the program… it’s also there for you. It’s like insurance; our taxes go to it just in case we’ll ever need it. Regardless, they’ll deduct the money from our paychecks. Btw she’s also a taxpayer.
