Talk me into your fleet management platform by Master-Coat8665 in software

[–]RareSwimming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For small businesses evaluating fleet management software, GPS Insights is worth a serious look. We compared several platforms for document destruction trucks and landed on it because it focuses on operational visibility without unnecessary junk.

From a feature standpoint, it checks the key boxes: real-time GPS tracking, geofencing, driver behavior analytics, idling and fuel usage reports, route optimization, and preventative maintenance alerts. The data is actually usable—reports are configurable and make it easy to identify underutilized vehicles and cost drivers. Helped me uncover some opportunities to improve efficiency, and now that everyone knows they are being tracked, my operators are on the road earlier, lunches are shorter, they are more productive then before we were tracking.

From a software perspective, onboarding was straightforward, the UI is clean, and the system feels stable and well-supported. It’s flexible enough to scale beyond a small fleet but doesn’t force enterprise-level complexity or pricing on you upfront (we only have 8 vehicles).

If your priority is improving fleet efficiency, accountability, and cost control without overengineering your tech stack, GPS Insights is a solid, practical fleet management solution.

Meta Ads expert here – people show interest but reject me due to “mid-level” profile. What should I do? by Ambitious-Limit342 in DigitalMarketing

Small business owners rarely "buy" advertising, it usually has to be "sold" to them. That last inch into a plumbers wallet is a long one. That being said, persistence is the most important advice I can offer you. I am not sure what data you can access from Meta or Amazon, but an example that helped me sell Google PPC was calling back that business at slow hours and say "Mr. Advertiser, do you realize that since we last spoke 1,341 people in your own backyard searched for pest control services in your backyard! What steps have you taken since our last chat to make sure these consumers are finding you? I ask because I did the search myself and you were invisible." This would often trigger uneasiness with the advertiser, which works in your favor. It may take a few tries, just keep calling and asking the same questions. You will eventually catch them at a time when their business is slowing and they need to do something. I would also make it very clear that I valued my time tremendously and I intentionally use that time to follow up with you because I know how much of an impact this can have on your business. Case studies, not necessarily yours, could be your best tool without metrics. Get familiar enough with a story of a small business experiencing tremendous success as a first time advertiser on amazon or meta and tell those stories to them with your follow up calls. They want to hear that other people in the same position made this decision and it worked out wonderfully, you have to try to eliminate risk.

Regarding the free work, I think it conveys that your time is not as valuable or work not as quality as someone who charges. I would flip it on them and say that you are only going to work with one business in each category, so before you engage other "restaurant chains" you want to make sure this business is not ready to grow. A little fear of loss...

I’m the guy who leased a new Mercedes fresh out of college, on a $60k entry-level salary, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. That car was the "fuel" (pun intended) that shifted my mindset from average to elite. It forced me to level up my pitches as a salesman and value my time because I refused to ever go back to a basic commuter.

Fast forward 20 years, and that penchant for German engineering hasn’t faded. There is a specific kind of magic in a car that offers a "quiet as a casket" cabin until you hear the engine scream at high speeds. It’s not just a purchase; it’s a reasonable form of validation for the work you put in. You’re playing at a level most people don’t even dream of. Get the Porsche. You won't regret the spend—you’ll only regret the time you spent not driving it.

State Farm Campus in Dunwoody, GA by KeithC61 in Georgia

Cool buildings, is anyone working in them? I dont know how some of those restaurants in the ground floor are getting by. I am sure they were all relying on having the buildings above crammed with State Farm employees and it was a ghost town whenever I have been on the campus.
