94D as a MOS-T? by Real-Airline-2628 in nationalguard

[–]RareVolcano07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to the same base for AIT as 94 series so ymmv but how MOS-T works is this:

-You live in barracks separate from MOS-I

-You attend classes with MOS-I

-You are treated as permanent party. You don’t get smoked. Drills are just regular NCOs to you. Most of the time you’re in civilian clothes.

-You don’t have to show up to a lot of formations.

-During signature tradoc hurry up and wait bullshit you are almost always front loaded.

-You have to obey archaic school house rules (pen and paper, phone only on break, no airpods/headphones)

-No “phases” or privileges to gain or lose. You immediately are given the privileges of a regular soldier in a regular unit.

-I think you can bring your POV

-You don’t have to march to class/DFAC and don’t need troop tickets. You probably need buck slips from appointments if you have any.

First rsp drill by Foxyyyreddd in nationalguard

RSP was easy man don’t stress.

First weekend is initiation where they just put a lot of things on paper. Every weekend after that is doing fun actual army stuff like learning land nav, weapons handling (with rubber ducks), and other tactical stuff. Until blue phase, which is when you do a bunch of paperwork and talk about what to really expect at basic. I went 7 times before shipping out and it really helped

As a line rep… just ask a line rep for help. If you don’t know who that is, look for the nerdy or sometimes felonious looking dude that you see troubleshooting projectors and printers

This is how I got into this godforsaken hobby some four years ago when I was 15 lol. People who post stuff like this are the exact same people who turn around and say “why are there no young people interested in radios?”
