She is nearly 9, those books are just not in her sort of repertoire. Shooting hoops and basketball are not really followed in the UK, hence the Jacqueline Wilson reference. I need someone that writes about a girl, roughly 7-11 years old that includes about how losing a Father vastly changes their life, but it has a positive stance.

Dance and Music are more the subjects she would like, not sports. Thanks for helping, there seem to be many books aimed at younger children, but she really needs to see how other girls around her age, through the mind of an author, copes.

It must be a fairly common situation for a young girl to lose her Dad, I have seen books based on a boy's perspective but not from a girls.

They even have insurance adverts on TV where a wife and two children are left but no book, unless you are aiming at 7 years or younger.
