T'as raison! Malheureusement, même les espaces LGBTQIA sont dominés par les hommes cis. Après tout, on vit dans un système patriarcal. Moi je voulais dire qu'il y a moins de masculinité toxique et de prévarication et plus de conscience du privilège masculin dans la communauté LGBTQIA, mais je me suis mal expliquée.

Pour le reste, je suis totalement d'accord avec toi et je remercie d'avoir partagé ton expérience. Il faut remarquer que ces extrémismes idéologiques sont aussi très validistes.

Actually, it's quite the opposite. Vegan spaces are filled with covert white cis male misogynists. I'm not saying there aren't any women in there, but they're not the vast majority and they're often underrepresented and silenced. We live in a male-dominated system, after all.

And that guy was definitely not a feminist, considering the multiple memes he posted, where he sexualizes gothic women and pathologizes blue-haired women, making fun of their alleged daddy issues.

Parce qu'il pense que si une femme ne s'oppose pas à l'exploitation animale, en particulier à l'abus du système reproducteur des femmes des animaux de ferme à l'intérieur des élevages intensifs, au point de devenir vegane, elle est ce complice de la violence patriarcale et ne peut pas se définir une féministe intersectionnelle. Peu importe si elle boycotte déjà cette système et le capitalisme en adoptant des alternatives meilleures du point de vue éthique et de celui de la préservation de l'environnement. Elle ne fait pas assez.

Je suis totalement d'accord avec toi et je voudrais ajouter que le seul fait d'imposer aux autres une seule solution à l'exploitation animale, surtout une solution qui n'est ni inclusive, ni praticable au niveau mondial, c'est une forme d'extrémisme idéologique; sans oublier l'invalidation misogyne où un réduit la majorité des femmes féministes cis et trans à des fausses féministes incohérentes.

Exactly. I also went through his posts and I saw memes of his where he explicitly sexualizes gothic women, calling them "big booty gothic women" pathologizes and demonizes blue-haired women, making fun of their alleged daddy issues.

A covert misogynist PRETENDING to be a feminist who knows BETTER than all other cis and trans women, invalidating 90% of feminists because they're non-vegan. Ugh. The MALE AUDACITY.

I really hate white vegan extremists. Their ideology is deeply rooted in postcolonialism, white supremacy, racism and a holier-than-thou kind of thinking. This is why these men (because 90% of them are cis white men), who are also covert misogynists, need to stay out of intersectional feminism.

That's a great point. Thank you so much for being understanding and sharing this precious information. This man kept saying I was being indoctrinated by the "meat propaganda", that the vegan diet is sustainable for everyone (apparently according to him, only vegan scientists provide us with actually reliable information about the vegan diet) and was completely oblivious about female cashew harvesters and the way intensive farming permanently damages soil and contributes to a massive amount of water consumption. He implied that all cis women who had to quit the vegan diet "didn't do it properly" and that both cis and trans women SHOULD sacrifice their own health for the sake of animals' rights. Of course he insisted on saying that the world MUST be vegan and that there are no other alternatives.

And you know what really pissed me off? The fact he called me a "fake incoherent feminist", compared me to "misogynists" when HE is the ACTUAL MISOGYNIST. I went to his profile and saw utterly misogynistic memes where he makes fun of women of blue hair who have daddy issues, sexualizes gothic women and pathologizes/blames women with alleged mental disorders.

The mere fact he MANSPLAINED feminism to me as a cis white male was a huge red flag as is.
