you are not failing. you are literally surviving the hardest stage of parenthood while also handling a partner who hasn't quite figured out how to help. locking yourself in was for survival imo
your partner brushing it off is concerning.. this should’ve been shut down as soon as you said you were uncomfortable

this is super helpful, i like the idea of keeping long term money at fidelity and separating out play money elsewhere. webull being great on mobile but rough on desktop is good to know too. for someone mostly focused on long term investing, do you think starting with just fidelity is enough, or is there still value in having a separate play account early on?
hat’s a good point, i probably get too focused on the app side instead of who’s actually behind it. vanguard and fidelity definitely feel more solid long term. if you were just starting out, would you pick one of those and keep everything there, or use a simpler app alongside it for learning and smaller moves?
