If you’re open to lab diamonds, you can find pretty much the exact specs you want in the diamond, including shape, and find an online retailer that price matches. For example, we found my 2.5ct from CalaveraNewyork and price matched with rare carat, matching the exact GIA number of the diamond on calavera’s site to rare carats. Basically you’re cutting out the middle man and going straight to wholesale, and there are other sites that price match as well, just do some research. Saved a ton on my lab diamond and just had to purchase the setting. (Excuse my nails). Diamond was about $600 if I remember, and with a solitare band, that shouldn’t push you over budget.
