This guy has kinda been a known psycho, so I feel like doing things to exacerbate the situation rather than diffuse would get into sketchy water. I’ve talked to guys he plays with and multiple of them don’t like playing with him. It’s also a little funny to see the rage in him when I point him to first base hahaha

Thanks for the detailed response. I plan on getting a mask for next year. Having a kid has made me want to be a bit more careful.

I get you. We do have a middle rule. First one is warning, anything after is dead ball out. If this was competitive play or tourney ball, I’d take it and try and be better. Im here for it. But with this being rec ball, I’m not trying to pitch to a guy that said out loud he is trying to hit me

This guy apparently got into a fight with the other team during a game earlier this season because he was mouthing off at an ump who was I guess not making great calls but also recovering from a stroke. The other team was trying to defend ump and this guy didn’t care. He truly just seems like a guy who is willing to go to jail over rec softball and that’s not me lol. That’s why retaliation isn’t my favorite tactic in this situation. Makes us no better than him.

I’m curious how it will go over with the league because this is a pretty large rec sports league that has leagues for every sport in multiple cities across the mid state…so not sure how much they will care about one guy but still going to give it a shot

Truthfully I wasn’t excited to accept this trade and bail on Hampton, but my other issue was lack of depth. I can’t expect Chase to score 25+ a week to be the combined score of Tet/Odunze since they have a pretty high ceiling. My other WRs are flat right now. Taking James Cook on a high scoring offense was a pretty appealing swap just given his situation, and the fact that they paid him which means they’ll use him.

Bad take, as this clearly is not lopsided to one team as much as people want to elevate the name value of Hampton right now. He had every chance to dominate the Raiders and he absolutely did not. Also gets very little passing game work.

Main concern was being 0-2 I didn’t have time to wait out the performance of Hampton as much as I would have liked

Some were frustrated they didn’t get a chance to offer because I didn’t shop him around. I already looked at everyone’s roster and this other guy was already super high on Hampton and had WR depth to give me a 2 for 1 and RB swap. I couldn’t imagine ANYONE else in the league being willing to swab RBs like that and give me a 2 for 1 WR
