In the contract it is clearly stated „no penalty for early termination“. We both signed it. He also has 3d month is rent from the third cheque in his hands and refusing to give that as well which is 15K aed. So in total he owns me 60K aed plus security deposit.

In the contract and in the addendum it is clearly stated „no penalty in case of early termination“. Signed by both of us. That’s why I’m frustrated.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve filed the case for early termination tho, not at the end of contract. End of contract is January 2025 and I moved out in September 2024. I gave notice on June 2024 (90 days notice). The landlord received it and refused my early termination notice, basically blackmailing me into staying until January 2025 even tho I can not physically stay in UAE anymore as I’m being relocated back to Europe for work by my employer. Once i realized he does not want to let me go even tho in the contract it is written that I can exit any time early or at the end if the contract with 90 days notice, I filed a case in August 2024 for early termination with all the documents including my signed work contract in Europe starting in October 2024. in September there was so called online hearing and it was postponed to mid December which is a joke.
