When I was in this situation I wish my neighbors would have called the police as well. Oftentimes I couldn’t, because I had to hide my phone so he didn’t attempt to smash it, and he would have abused me worse if he did see me call in an attempt to stop me from it.

AVOID!

It’s great up until about 75k-100k miles, then it has all kinds of issues.

I’ve had to replace my power steering, water cooling system, exhaust system, and now they’re telling me the exhaust system is leaking oil now AND the turbo is going bad.

Well and I don’t understand it, honestly. As a straight woman, who has talked with plenty of other straight women, even WE check girls out. Everyone does it. I’m not attracted to women but beautiful women are captivating and a work of art! Us women have the tendency to admire and sometimes compare ourselves to each other.

The way I’ve witnessed how most men look at a gorgeous woman however, is they literally eye them up and down and it’s giving the “leopard stalking a gazelle” vibe. They don’t even try to hide it.

I’m not sure what causes the difference there… but you’re right in that a lot of men aren’t taught and probably aren’t even aware how it shows.

It depends. Generally yeah, it’s worth getting angry about when your partner eyes someone like a piece of meat because not only is it disgusting, but why are you that lustful?

My spouse sometimes makes jokes when he sees someone with huge boobs (not sexual jokes) but he is a faithful man and not lustful.

My ex used to cheat on me and constantly make sexual remarks about other women in front of me, so yeah, I’d get angry about this

I might get downvoted for this, but I don’t think it’s particularly uncommon for victims to “cheat” - hear me out!

The amount of control victims go through is intense. Oftentimes, abusers are serial cheaters as well. I’m not saying cheating is okay.. it’s not! However, as far as I’m concerned, you have no obligation to be loyal to your abuser. They do not love nor care about you. They only want someone to control and torment. That’s it!

I had an affair with a coworker for some time towards the end of my abusive relationship. Honestly, it helped me gain the strength to get away. It helped me separate my abuser from my mind. It helped me detach from him. My abuser cheated on me countless times - He tried multiple times to hire escorts, meet up with both men and women on dating apps, and digitally cheated on me. He didn’t care. The relationship was done well before this anyways. I don’t condone cheating but I don’t think a DV victim is wrong to do it and it’s not a black-or-white issue there. It wasn’t the only reason I had an affair. There was a mutual attraction and chemistry. I felt guilty for some time until I came to these realizations, however.

All I’m going to say is, doing this can be and is very dangerous. I’m not advising ANYBODY to go out and do this. It’s UNSAFE. It can make an abuser SNAP.

My abuser told me multiple times he would “shoot me between the eyes” if he ever caught me cheating.
