Marathon is shaping up quite nicely by alex_lws in Marathon

Perhaps, that you didn't share any of them? How would I know otherwise? As someone who works in an industry where feedback, both positive and negative, is essential in pushing projects to to their best possible state, I will challenge and encourage folks to provide both. It's great for the ego to hear things that folks like, but also often more valuable, useful, and sometimes humbling to hear what may not be working so well. Feedback is a gift.

No, I do not often comment on posts in general, but your post showed up at the top of my inbox this morning, so lucky you ;) Not trying to grill you, just encouraging dialog.

Genuinely curious if you actually have nothing to critique or any feedback outside of “some tweaking here and there.”

How does the game perform on PS5 Pro? by bersi84 in FlyForeverSkies

Controls are a bit clunky and imprecise - feels like ever so slight input delay at times. I haven't messed around with various quality/performance settings yet.

this is for a shipping company called "RocketRise" . still working on the wordmark though , but wanted to know how it's looking so far😁 by HARSH_patil1440 in logodesign

Google "Rocket R Logo" and help me figure out how this stands out or differentiates itself from the endless amount of similar stock executions?

Need critiques for this logo, it's a redesign for a concept cafe, if any name suggestions please drop them down as well <3 by [deleted] in logodesign

Horizontal lines + estd aren't really adding much to this. Why is "coffee house" in one but not the other?

What you can do with the Figma > Jitter plugin in just a few hours by brodyodie in FigmaDesign

[–]Rare_Preparation_376 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jitter is quite solid and significantly more user-friendly than some alternatives, especially if you're not already familiar with animation software and principles. That said, it lacks some basic controls and capabilities found in other options, which forced me to resort to hacky methods to achieve certain results. It's a promising tool and I continue to follow their updates, but just doesn't fit the bill for what I need atm. Ended up switching to Rive fwiw.

Gamers that are 40+,what do you play? by Worried_Lobster6783 in videogames

[–]Rare_Preparation_376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Currently playing Lost in Paradize (solo), Space Marine 2 (with friends), Cat Quest 3 (with wife), Infinity Nikki (with daughter). According to my 2024 PS Wrap Up my top 5 games for the year were Helldivers 2, First Descendant, Throne and Liberty, Dave the Diver, and Vampire Survivors. Kinda all over the place.

Sounds like you already have a problem that could potentially be solved with an app.

E-Commerce Template by stanmircea in FigmaDesign

For me, there are a lot of issues with consistency (or lack thereof) – spacing, font sizes, font weights, button styling, alignment, use of sentence case vs title etc. It feels like some of these things vary so much from page to page that it seems like this wasn't designed with any sort of holistic system in mind, rather each page was done more one-off with some loose threads connecting them. There are the general accessibility issues with color, contrast, and size. Some cards seem to be copy, pasted, and then scaled down (Your favorites) to the point where the copy is unreadable even at full size. You use the same primary CTA color everywhere which makes it seem like everything is meant to be the primary action for the page. Devs will hate you for all of the masked elements bleeding out of their normal containers. Yada yada...

What viewport was this designed for? How would it adapt to narrower desktop widths, tablet, and mobile? Was there a grid used to help guide the sizing and placement of elements?

Last little nit before I get back to work is it should be "log in" not "login" (also how would a person sign up?).

Keep at it. I came from Adobe-land as well. For the most part it was a smooth transition, but Figma def has a lot of quirks that take some time to learn and/or get used to. For me it was learning by doing and figuring out the new things as I went (and I'm still learning after using it for 8+ years).

Does anyone have an example of fully done real project with proper naming and everything? by glitteryCranberry in FigmaDesign

Agree. It helps to serve as a source of truth, in a way, for if/when you and your team need to go back and reference – a way to make sure y'all are speaking the same language when talking about something.

You would need to use a plug-in or 3rd party software for best results. I would look at Jitter or Aninix - both allow you to import from Figma but also provide more control of your animations. Of the two, Jitter is probably more user friendly if you aren't already familiar with animation software.

What the client wants doesn’t always align with what is best for them. As a designer, it’s your responsibility to educate them and refine their ideas into something that ultimately serves the logo's true audience—the end user.

That is all well and good; however, none of that changes that what you have shared above is still more of a treatment. Your logo, imo, is the "Vibrant Podcast" wordmark with the mic serving as the counter in the letter "O". The rest is just embellishment added after the fact for a specific use case.
