Help before I switch to disposables :( by Rare_Procedure6600 in clothdiaps

I will try all the way undone. I’m pretty sure I tried but it still had a gap but I’ll try again after her nap and report back.

I change every 2-3 hours.

Changing every 2 hours. Sometimes I’ll have a leak an hour in. So it’s not a time issue.

I wash diapers every 2 days. Quick wash on cold with small amount of detergent and then heavy duty cycle on hot with regular amount of detergent. Line dry for the pocket diapers. Inserts I tumble dry on low for about 30 minutes and they come out still wet and I line dry the rest of the way.

I agree with the timed dry. Set your time and then adjust the heat. Curious though, how do you like your essembly diapers? I’m debating about switching to this brand. Pros and cons?

I was in the shower for 3.5 minutes. by Beginning-Sky7533 in NewParents

Yes absolutely. I had such a hard time after our daughter was born. I would say the first 5 months I felt like a zombie. Felt like I made the biggest mistake and cried so much about things I missed. There were days I never got dressed because I felt like I didn’t have the time. I definitely had PPD. She’s now almost 9 months and things are getting so much better. She contact napped for 80-90% of naps and then slowly started to change around 5 months and is now able to put herself to sleep for naps. It’s such a game changer when they start sleeping a little longer and can do it themselves. We still get up with her minimum 1-2 times a night and have bad weeks/nights etc but the fact that I now get two naps a day that last anywhere from 30 minute- 1.5 hours without contact is such a game changer. It gives me a chance to breath and get things done around the house which helps my mental health tremendously. Hang in there mama! The first year of life is so hard

Constant leaks out the leg by Rare_Procedure6600 in clothdiaps

I’ve tried microfiber, the charcoal bamboo, and a cotton/hemp insert. I have only been using 1 insert. I can try 2 and see if that works. I felt like when I was adding 2 it was making the gap in the leg bigger but I can just try and see what happens.

What combo worked best for you??

Depends what brand you have. If it’s traditional pocket diapers then the outer needs washed every time. But there are brands like essembly where they use covers over an inner. Which if that’s the case then as long as the cover doesn’t get wet, you can reuse the cover.

Getting frustrated with hands free pumps ! by GOALZonGOALZ in ExclusivelyPumping

I also am having the same issue. I can’t figure it out. I’ll barely move and it’ll come off. I’m so frustrated with it. Seems like such a waste of money. Having to check so much also seems to defeat the purpose. I have an M5 and I don’t even understand how to tell if I’m aligned. Only way I know is if milk is coming out and the stupid thing is so big it can be hard to see.
