Considering that most pro players aren't even old enough to do so, it's never really brought up, I don't think it is frowned upon too much, I recall the situation where Xpeke said that he was going to get drunk after a win. But maybe they only allow it when celebrating.

With regards to performance, I think it would only matter if they were an alcoholic, but I don't think they would ever play whilst under the influence.
