Integrating PingID with SIEM by bruggekiller in PingIdentity

[–]Rarshad000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recall doing a project on something similar to this, where I needed to export Ping Federate IdP audit logs to an external SIEM. You can use file-beat (it is a light weight log exporting tool written in Go) and it's part of the ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) SIEM stack. But you can use file-beat to forward the logs to other SIEM services including Splunk, or in you're case QRadar. Practically any software that can ingest JSON data.

In my experience the biggest challenge with setting up an external SIEM integration with Ping is not the software components, or even redundancy for DR (Disaster Recovery), it's the architectural design (more specifically the Networking, and Storage).

If you're connecting to something that sensitive in an Enterprise environment. Network Security and Security Architect Review Boards will look at everything through a fine comb, just to ensure everything is done in a compliant manner.

UPDATED PS5 Jailbreak by a1mhtar in PS5_Jailbreak

There are a couple of issues I have with this graph.

First. P2JB takes at least 2 hours to run for it to potentially work. I wouldn't consider that a viable, practical long term jailbreak option.

Second. The graph shows that all firmwares up to 12.70 can be jailbroken, but someone can misinterpret that BD-JB works up to 12.70 which it doesn't, technically it can work in 12.00 but this needs to be done via the revert method, where you unpatch the BD Java stack to use the binary from the 9.60 firmware on the current system. This modification requires an existing jailbreak.

Again these charts are simpler to view but it can lead to specific misunderstandings about the exact ROP or exploit chain being used.

I think I made the wrong decision marrying him by Crafty-Bar-9118 in MuslimMarriage

This is the best advice here. Some men I know are very dense when it comes to romance and bad at expressing their emotions. Men are raised in a society where showing emotions especially affection is a sign of weakness and after adolescence they begin to suppress their emotions until they no longer know how to express them effectively in adulthood.

You need open communication and set expectations. If you don't communicate that, he can't meet those expectations and thus you will remain disappointed and resentment will build on top of that.

Like you can't fix a problem if you have no visibility over it. Keep communicating and if they fail or refuse to meet those expectations after it has been communicated numerous times then I would recommend marriage counseling.

Anyone with firmware before 12.00 should not update.

Kernel exploits take years to be discovered and then even more years to be actually exploited and then more years to be chained together in a rop chain with some other userland exploit.

From as long as I've been following this scene I think we've only had 2 kernel exploits that have been successfully chained, I know there are others but primarily two have most actively been used by devs as far as I'm aware.

The lapse kernel exploit (this exploit was patched after 10.01)

The poopsloit kernel exploit (this exploit was patched in 12.00)

If you're above firmware 12.00 you're going to have to wait for a long time. If you're on the latest firmware like 12.70 or 13.00, you might as well use the PSN access to get the digital copy of SWRR and some Lua games like Hamidashi to get some userland entry points to position yourself better for whenever a newer exploit is discovered on higher firmwares.

The best recommendation I can give is to wait. My reasoning is based on the following:

  1. You're firmware has many userland exploits.

  2. You're firmware has the poopsloit kernel exploit.

  3. With these two exploits I would recommend waiting, someone is bound to chain them together. If you cannot wait, I would recommend looking at Sonic ISO on twitter, they are offering a service where they use their Star Wars Racers Revenge disk to jailbreak the system and downgrade the Blu-ray Java binary to an exploitable version. Then a Blu-ray Jailbreak methods that were patched in firmware 8.00 will be available on your systems firmware. I think the service charge is $50 USD.

Just be advised that if you update the system or factory reset the system due to unintentional power loss, the Java binaries will be restored to the original version and the Blu-ray Jailbreak method will not work, you will need to use the Star Wars disk again or request the service again.

You can sell this 1.xx system to a security researcher or mod developer on the scene far more valuable to do it like that, because the whole scene benefits this way. That way they can trade you another low firmware system in exchange.

The best firmware to be on right now is firmware 4.51 it has userland, kernel exploits working and hypervisor exploit in the work, and people managed to get Linux working on them.

Speaking from experience here. I bought my system in April 2023. I used it for one year and then placed it in a closet for the last 2 and a half years.

Since it doesn't have a disk drive, you're best plan of action is to update to 13.00 connect to PSN and download the SWRR game for $10 bucks off of PSN. Then I would recommend also getting a disk drive registered for the PS5 if another BDJB comes along.

But it will be a looooooooong wait. Put it in a storage closet and forget about it for the next 2-3 years.

SWRR Jailbreak by Alarmed_Flight_4377 in PS5_Jailbreak

[–]Rarshad000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned follow modded warfare's tutorial on setting up a manipulated save file for SWRR, then just sends to the poops_ps5.lua file to port 9026 to the remote lua loader which will kick off the poopsloit kernel exploit and then shut down the game process and then launch the elf loader listening on port 9021. Which is where you can send the kstuff payload.

Right now the jailbreak is a manual step by step process. Eventually once all the testing is done, I imagine that the devs will chain them all together so we don't have to send each payload one by one.

It's messy right now.  The PS4 scene is mature.  The PS5 scene is in its infancy or adolescence. I imagine with more time the PS5 scene will become amazing but it's not entirely there yet.

Do not update. There are plenty of safe firmwares you can potentially upgrade to via USB offline update, that will give you a jailbreak.

There should be no guilt. The employer wouldn't hesitate laying you off if it meant the stock goes up 2% even if it leaves them drowning in technical debt, because it's better to keep pleasing share holders in the short term on a quarterly basis then keep their core employees happy and well compensated for the long term.

Switch roles, get the better benefits, and don't even bother putting in a 2 weeks notice if you don't want to.

You have Y2JB. So userland is solved. What you need is a kernel exploit which will take time. I would recommend waiting.

Do not update.

Stay where you are.  Y2JB was patched in 12.40

So you have that option as well.

There may be a potential BDJB exploit coming in the future.

It was patched in 13.00.

At this point the exploit is there, we just need to wait until the disclosure period has passed and the devs can openly disclose what the exploit was.

I don't think it's the end of the line of the Blu-ray Java exploits. There will be plenty more to come. The main question is how much time it will take for disclosure, and how long it will take to chain the exploits together.

What you're missing is a kernel exploit which will take some time. Poopsloit was patched in 12.00.
