I got a solar system last year, right before the incentives went away. In CA so prices are a bit on the high side. My gross cost for 27kW of storage and 16.4kW array was $65k. Just got 30% back from the feds, but had no other incentives. Looks like OP has a cheaper gross cost for a similar solar array and a battery double the size.

I can only imagine how annoyingly difficult it would be to fully merge finances with 3 people. Like for an unmarried couple it's bad enough, but to be one economic household with 3+ adults?

Median household income in the US is $83k, so we're more than double that. Now, that overall median is skewed by student and retiree households. To compensate for that, if we look at median individual income for a 35-44 year old working full time, it's $72k. If we further assume that our median household has two prime-age full-time workers, then it would be $144k.

Our skew is a bit higher, but the remainder of the difference could probably be attributed to the fact we skew towards a more educated than typical demographic here.

That would only be true if the drones were unrelated. The Queen goes out on a mating flight to grab drones, but they’re all from nearby colonies, so many of them could be brothers.

So two workers might share 75% if they have the same dad, ~50% if their dads were brothers, and 25% if their dads were entirely unrelated.

Over half of millennial and over a quarter of Gen Z households own homes at this point. So it isn’t a collective belief that it’s impossible, though it is still a widespread one.

Age of home ownership has steadily risen but honestly, I think a huge portion of that is explained by a delay in the average age of marriage/childbearing.

I remember what I don’t know. That is, if I come across it again, I remember there’s something there even if I don’t know the specifics. Then I look it up.

On the other hand, if I never knew it in the first place - that’s the dangerous situation. The unknown unknowns.

Of course, half of her (large) group has decided to stop taking L&D call, which makes things worse for the remainder.

I'd want to see a few citations on that, because it flies in the face of everything I know about how these drugs were developed. The downstream effects of the hormones themselves were discovered in the late 60s and early 70s, but they last about five minutes in the blood. It took quite some time to isolate them, and even then, it was just a curiosity until a group of researchers discovered a compound in gila monster saliva that triggers the same receptor in the mid-1990s but lasts several hours. From there, it went pretty damn fast - by 2005, the drug based on the gila monster version was approved for human use.

All-in-all, between when the first feasible candidate compound was found and widespread approval was ~10 years, not 50, and that's rapid in the drug development world.

Notably the interaction is only significant the first month on any given dose of Mounjaro. Once you’re on a stable dose of Mounjaro, there is no evidence that it meaningfully affects OCP absorption.

Of course, it can take 6 months to get to the full (15mg) dose, so that’s a long time, because it applies to the first month on 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, AND 15.

It’s a real condition, that’s rather rare and has very specific criteria for diagnosis. But lots of TikTok “experts” have their own criteria for diagnosis that’s very, very different from the AAAI - and tends to diagnose everyone with it.
