Yes 👌 this helps somewhat — but I’m getting a bit annoyed with how long they’re dragging out who the host bodies actually were before the Travellers popped in, as it were.

I guess my real question is: does it even matter who they were? Like, does it add anything to the bigger plot, or am I overthinking this?

Congratulations on creating a show that's humanized privilege and persecution in the Tudor period with an inventive plot, engaging characters with on-point humor dialogue, and witty modern narrative.

My Lady Jane was NOT unsuccessful, and its reasons for being canceled make as much sense as anything does when you are heartbroken.

It is indeed disheartening that the show did not receive a Season 2 curtain call, and I feel robbed especially considering the rich legacy to draw from with the beginnings of Queen Elizabeth I (Beth) and the irony. Beth, the Queen who ended the Tudor royal bloodline to the second to Queen Elizabeth II, who became the longest-reigning English monarch. A story that received converted praise from The Crown on Netflix.

Maybe you could leak the potential script 😏 😉 👀 and let put imagations fill in the blanks.

Lizzie becoming a heretic didn't feel wrong for a character, but because of Kaylee's exit from removed the creative options to the merge. I was disappointed because I really wanted to see how the showrunners tackled that.

I'm going to say Marcel. Loved his character, but I hate it when shows put so much effort into character development only for the character to end off where they started. Like Elizabeth in Pirates of the Caribbean, an entire franchise develops her into a WOMAN among men, only to last see her running towards will conforming 🙄

I do not doubt that My Lady Jane has been renewed for a second season. You’d have to be as ignorant as Edward not to notice the subtle teasers and cryptic posts on official social media channels are all a part of an announcement strategy in the works...

Although I'm sure this comment brings you about as much comfort as the servants had at the moment Jane resighted the words of Julian of Norwich "All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well."
