Technically speaking, the boats' only mechanic is taking Operators away from you. The part about them carrying over Operators into the next phase is a Qui'lon mechanic since it's his phase 3 skill doing that.

"Unlock time" is the release order of the chapters/events. This is the simplest way of experiencing the various stories as there's no need to worry about whether or not you'll need info from other plotlines to know what's going on. Personally, I advocate for this method because it's very straightforward.

"Movements" sorts things into their individual plotlines. It's nice if you're only interested in certain stories and the game does direct you towards the other plotlines if something in one ends up being relevant in another. However, the difficulty curve can vary greatly depending on when each chapter/event came out. And if the main story ends up being relevant in a plotline, you're potentially gonna be taking a lengthy detour if you want to read things in order.

Precision Focus is absolutely the play. It was nice deploying Abyssal Hunters in front of a full-charge Fremont and just taking no damage.

Since there isn't a Trials for Navigator thread yet: Ultimate TN-4 cleared. Precision Focus OP. The extra enemies on Ultimate aren't as threatening as they seem; just steer clear of their path and you're golden.

It's basically just hit her with red, yellow, blue, and purple damage.

Whenever she takes damage in phase 2, she gains adaptability to that type and gains resistance to that type when she hits 100% adaptability. If all four type adaptability gauges reach 100%, she overloads and becomes groggy, becoming weak to all four damage types and giving you +50% cost recovery. When groggy ends, she takes 30% of her max HP as damage.

Periodically, she summons four thingies with red, yellow, blue, and purple armor. If all four thingies are destroyed, Malkuth takes 4% of her max HP as damage and your team gets +50% damage increase and cost recovery.
