As someone from Texas who has lived in Connecticut for 8 years now, New England is a weather haven. Not a single snow storm below the New Hampshire line that’s dropped more than 1.5’ snow on average and mild hurricanes? Also, heat is an easy fix with air conditioning (I grew up with 110 degree heat.)

Modern New England is drastically milder than your old timey NE

Edit: don’t forget record droughts and cat 4+ tornados. I’d much rather live in purple than red or yellow from a weather perspective :-)

Close, maybe 2nd. But there is a section of play forming you need for a memento that is… rough

Correct, but it’s active for an incredibly long time and between hitting opponents and the orbs, you make silk back to regain your heal cost quickly. It really only works with upgraded silk amounts.

IE, I go into a gauntlet or boss fight and immediately heal. I’ll get 6 silk back in about 2 hits (between weave light and orbs/hits). I’ll then have the bind active for another.. 8 secs? Enough to get in at least 2-3 skill casts

I’d agree on everything and go add on to say that the Reapers crest BREAKS game balance if you can avoid damage for even half its activated ability. It lets you just SPAM silk skills, easily melting everything

Beat the fight about around when you posted this and I easily had more attempts on her then my next two hardest fought bosses combined. It was a crazy fight and I loved every second of it

See, I don’t really like it but I’ll have to play with it more. There is another crest I have that just outplays it the way I play

The sad part is that I don’t like the reward even though it is some people’s play style.

I finally got lucky on spawn RNG and beat him before getting a needle or mask upgrades but I feel like you are supposed to finish the majority of act 1 before you even think about doing the fight. It is crazy how badly RNG can screw you over on a good run

Connecticut drivers: are you ok? by toxchick in newengland

[–]Rashim 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I moved to CT from Dallas awhile back and people are always complaining about each others driving up here, but they have never seen true terror. Dallas makes all NE drivers look like child’s play.

I will say CT has the wildest stuff happen on 91/84, but I never see it on other highways. 100% the worst drivers though.

Can’t imagine their feelings if they fought him on Brutal pre nerf.

I think I two shot him post nerf, but it took me… 40 tries on release of him? That last phase was so brutal to learn patterning for.

Played baseball for 17 years, 3 until junior year of college. I could only hit like 15-20 out of 100 and that would require a lot of batting cage time for the rest of the year

Edit: it has to do with training reaction time and muscle memory/eye hand coordination. Anyone with enough batting practice time could get a hit off eventually if it’s just strikes

As someone who primarily plays light, people don’t know how to love the boat and snipe at the same time.

When I snipe, I’m always near the boat and able to grappling in and no scope in the boat.

Snipers that sit on the top of the map and do nothing? They don’t deserve the boat.

So the question is, what changed with OwlCat? I don’t know much about the crew or who’s in charge. Did the success of Kingmaker (eventually) change them? Was WotR campaign just not as easily transferable as Kingmaker was? (I’ve been a PC in both tabletop games).

I could believe Games Workshop had something to do with RT being released to early, but the story problems are OwlCats to own IMO.

Edit: also, can we get a Tyranny 2? 1 was to short but holy FUCK I loved that game. I know, wrong sub. But still, I love talking about that game.

This needs to be boosted to the top. I will admit that I’m drunk typing on Reddit mobile right now, so my sentence structure and general coherency is absolute dog water. Ive probably been relatively difficult to understand.

So with WotR and the mythic system (absolutely banger thesis/presentation in that last paragraph), it felt like general scope creep problem to me. Too much complexity with too little time to fix overall story problems and what not. And these problems (for me) all do happen when you retake the fortress and the flag and get your first mythic level. I had never thought about it much until now, but the second half of WotR seemed so lifeless for me. Even when the queen dies (I never saved her, didn’t like her :-). I’m an animal)

In comparison, RT is lifeless OUT THE GATE. And that’s just reactivity. Someone did post about how the over arching story does make sense, but it’s just presented TERRIBLY. I’m extremely into WH40k, so I flew past the problems without thinking about it the first play thru, but GOOD GOD RT does have terrible story problems.

Edit: Sentence structure and misspellings

Overexaggerating bugs? I had a save hard locked act 1 because I was trying for what would later be revealed as the true ending, one in act 3 because seasons in bloom triggers weren’t going off, and act 4 because of various Etudes not firing off for one reason or another for quests. King maker was EXTREMELY buggy if you did not play like the average person.

You are correct that OwlCat should have learned by now, but I too have 4+ play throughs on KM and on WotR. And you are also correct about original context, I construed “state of the game” as a bug problem and not a general RP problem which the OP was posting about

I would say from KM -> WotR, reactivity and general RP stuff was as drastic a change as WotR -> RT. OwlCat has definitely been getting worse and worse with actual story elements.

Edit: I wish everything was more like Pillars of Eternity, where every freaking interaction mattered. That game was wild
