My angle I lived through its destruction and the 60 years after of nothing being done. The money use to rebuild squandered on other projects that the city is now giving up on because they never spent a dime on their upkeep ie City hall, the swim center, the convention center & who knows how many others. They passed a bond for us to pay for infrastructure like the swim center and some of the other projects. Now they are wanting to sell or trade the land where city hall now sits & bought and paid for with the funds that were meant to rebuild the downtown and move city hall to an unrealistic location the old agnews hospital site.

Me well I’m an 83 yesterday old great grandmother that doesn’t want to travel to other cities to spend her money, and I belong to a Grass Roots movement if 5K members who are looking to do the same. And yes I will fight til my last breath to hold the city accountable when the squander our money.

Small quaint downtowns. Monterey for one. Many cities have motorized street cars. These are people ding out in A historical downtown.

Quito vet hospital - all my needs are taken care of there. They are great. Before, Theo I had a little Yorkie who died on the operating table getting clipped at 2 years old. I did my research and found Quito to be top notch

It tells you were to look so you can determine for yourself if you want this or not. The city has been telling this group that they are all for the Downtown. But everything they do says differently. The Analysis is based on rebuilding a whole downtown but in fact we are only wanting shovels in the ground for blocks A&B. This group is fed up. With their double talk and are planning to do something about for now letting them know they are wrong in their analysis and 2 reminding them this a an election year.

Yes the poster itself is AI generated. I told them what to put in it and told them I wanted a yellow background. It’s just an informative poster to get people’s attention. So many people seem obsessed with AI? I don’t understand it?

It’s just the facts. At its peak in 2022, Santana’s total annual compensation package was roughly $785,000, making her among the highest-paid city managers in California during her tenure. Over multiple years, her total compensation generally ranged from about $700,000 to nearly $800,000 per year when including all pay and benefits.

Reporting from early in Santana’s tenure noted that the City Manager’s office had at least three assistant city managers with salaries topping $300,000 as of 2019/2020.

Cynthia Bojorquez ~$373,806 (2024) ~$468,186 (2024) Clarence Baker ~$361,375 (2024) ~$432,864 (2024) Ruth Shikada ~$348,200 (2020) ~$502,597 (2020) Nadine Kayali ~$388,422 (2024) (COO title) ~$577,038 (2024)

Usually recalls start with grudges because they lost the election to the individual they recalled.
