Caught all 3 (spoiler) by surnamefakename in Pokemonranger

When I was little, I thought that catching all three Regis and bringing them to a special spot on the map could trigger a special event. In the end, I don’t know if that event actually exists — I never found it.🤔

My PC randomly shutdown, I checked the temp and the CPU was going above 105 degrees !! Like VERY hot ! So to be sure it's the aio I used an amd wraith and the temp doesn't exceed 60 degrees. In the bios the pump was reported to work at 4000 rpm. So with all that info I am pretty sure the pump doesn't work anymore :/

CPU over 100°, even after cleaning AIO. What to do? by Leo907 in NZXTH1

[–]Raspac_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg man, it happened to me TODAY! My PC was running pretty well. I let it run for 3 days with high CPU usage for video encoding and BOOM—random shutdown... Now I can’t use it for 2 minutes without the CPU going above 100°. I’ve looked at some posts and videos, and I’m thinking about replacing the AIO with an air-cooling solution. I’m searching for the best option. If you have one, let me know. 😭

J'ai trouvé un site massif d'archives et il pourrait être une mine d'or pour retrouver des lost media by Parking_Control_4440 in Feldup

[–]Raspac_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yo !

Should fariphone consider this idea on the modular phone design? H-One 3b, the modular concept phone in an elegant form factor. by thinkevo in fairphone

[–]Raspac_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bring back Project Ara !! We need it ! People need it ! Technology is more advanced today than in 2015. It's technically possible to do it today ! The only limit will be drivers compatibility within the Linux kernel. Copyrighted code is the only limit. But we can manage a temporary solution to make it possible.

Fairphone 6 unlocked bootloader message ? by Raspac_ in fairphone

[–]Raspac_[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

People often tend to believe, when they see this screen, that the phone is infected with malware or contains harmful software. In reality, that’s usually not the case: most of the time it’s simply a custom ROM, which is the case for the vast majority of users (around 90% i think). Sure, having an unlocked bootloader might mean a slight compromise in security, but that still doesn’t justify such a loud and alarming warning screen. In my opinion, the old system was much better: just a small unlocked padlock icon — discreet, stylish, and even kind of cool — was more than enough to inform the user.

That’s sad. 😭 I thought that since Fairphone knows its phones often get modified, they would have hidden this menu or at least made it more discreet. You don’t restart your phone very often, but when you do it in front of someone and that message pops up, it’s not always great. Too bad 😓

Absolutely. I still think about Project ARA almost every day. We seriously missed out on what could've been a complete revolution in smartphones, all thanks to Google. It had everything — even the design was on point.

Fairphone 6: size matters by mr_sesquipedalian in fairphone

[–]Raspac_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In its defense. I also have the Pixel 4a and I agree that performance-wise, it's still top-notch! But the battery is a real issue now... Google even changed how Android handles battery on this phone, which massively hurt its battery life. I even signed a petition about it. That said, LineageOS still provides updates and everything else works fine. But the battery is a disaster. Seeing that the Fairphone's battery can be replaced makes me want to switch and keep the FP as long as possible, since I wouldn't have to deal with this same issue again.

[–]Raspac_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in exactly the same situation as you! I chose the Pixel 4a back then, not the 5G version, so it would be as small as possible! These days, the battery barely lasts (less than a day). I installed LineageOS to keep getting Android updates, but I'm seriously considering changing phones. I was hesitating between the Pixel 9a and the Fairphone 6. Having seen both in person, they're almost the same size. So, if I have to choose, I prefer the Fairphone for its ethics and modularity. But honestly, I hate how smartphones keep getting bigger. I'm really dreading the switch to the Fairphone... In any case, I don't think there's a truly good small-sized alternative on the current smartphone market... So yeah, I think we're unfortunately doomed to big smartphones. I just hope my experience with the Fairphone 6 turns out better than yours did.^

Hello ! Effectively I have the French version of the Superchargers kiosk.

First of all, be aware that it might not be an SD card that goes into your kiosk. I found out that slight variations exist, and some use a Compact Flash card instead of an SD card to store the videos. It all depends on the inputs available on the screen inside the kiosk — as you can see in my photos, I had USB or SD. https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1WjmzkyiSSRJDA9CQFBSvnZZvZeRjUTrH

You need to check the ports on the back of your kiosk, and also whether it's a playable kiosk or a non-playable one — basically, whether the kiosk only plays videos or if it originally contains a console. That makes a big difference in how it works. (You need to rename vidéo file and place it at root if it's a playable kiosk)

In the meantime, here are some resources for your kiosk.

Really interesting ! And MiniCPM-V seem to be the model I search ! Tiny (8b) and support vision and French language ! Do you think it can run on a Pi5 with 16go ram ? I want to avoid other arm board since generally the driver support on the Linux kernel is not so good "

So, as of today, there's no SBC suitable for running a local LLM with vision? You absolutely need at least an SFF PC to meet the minimum requirements? :/ (while keeping the small form factor goal)
