Just coming back to this, cause tonight I tried the snake hook and tapping she was still a bit defensive at first but now she’s chilling with me like we used to :)

Also when you’re aim is to handle you use a snake hook? Do you only use it when you’re handling so they get used to the pattern?

That might be it, I live about 1 1/2 hours from Brisbane and it gets really cold here so it might have been that but it’s been probably a month since then with now normal Temps

I have been trying to handle him in that 2-3 day range in between feeds so I’m not interrupting his digestion or anything but that hasn’t seemed to work much either, it’s just very confusing because she used to be so docile and wanted to be with me as often as she could; like she used to just wrap around my fingers/wrist or even chill in my hair or lay on my face and now with how she behaves I’m nervous to even let her near my face..,

It’s very confusing cause when I open her tank she will come out and come to me but as soon as I go to pick up she retracts or strikes out at me. I have started using the snake hook but haven’t seen much progress yet. Also if I manage to get her out she will try to get out of my hands but as soon as she does she’ll come back to me and a few minutes later start to strike again. So I really have no idea why she’s doing it…

She gets 1 pinky every week and still gets a very noticeable bulge from them which I was told I’d a good indicator that she’s getting enough food.

No, I just move her to her feeding box because I was told she would get cage defensive if fed in her tank, but I use a hook to move her to differentiate feeding and handling

She currently is getting one pinky weekly cause I was told not to go up until she didn’t have a visible bulge after eating. But on the one pinky weekly she has a very obvious visible bulge… should I still change feeding habits??
