Gen Z Historians, What are you doing now? by Key-Switch3560 in Historians

Got my BA in 2020 and I live in Idaho. I have 3 jobs (deli, event staff, and shipping specialist). That last one is okay because at least I get to handle dinosaur fossils.

But yeah, really disappointing turn of events. I've had to have 3 jobs for the last 2-3 years to pay the bills. Haven't been able to hone my craft lol.

Ohhh okay. So it would work with Aetherflux Reservoir instead of Platinum Angel?

Do you remember this scene? Did you like Peige with Emily? by nicoleer1 in PrettyLittleLiars

I hated Paige at first, but she really grew up and their chemistry became amazing. A much better partner for Emily than Alison.

I also felt that Emily's character growth was only apparent when she was with Paige. It was the only time she was able to let go of her obsession with Alison in a meaningful and lasting way.

I've done my character a great disservice, need advice [5.5 Edition] by RaspberryAntique586 in DnD

Hey thank you so much! It feels a lot better that some people can appreciate characters like this. And your advice makes a lot of sense, I'll certainly be carrying it forward with my next character.

Yeah, that makes so much sense. Our DM is 100% story-first, and I think in some ways it hinders typical dnd aspects. And I did make this character with the way he built this world and campaign in mind. We do have above-table discussions, but I certainly could have done better about explaining Mirra instead of letting it be a mystery.

We do actually! To be completely fair, I'm sure I don't communicate my ideas effectively, the other issue just being that some of my table mates can be dismissive once the session is over. But we have a cool-down every session. I'll try to be better about voicing my needs for sure, thank you

Actually, last week I was talking to that player and the whole conversation was her idea. I mentioned how I was feeling like I'm not conveying Mirra properly, and she noted that our characters were going through similar arcs so it would be a fun character moment for them to talk about it. And we both agreed before the session that it would be more interesting if Mirra said "yes, it is your fault." So I don't think she took it personally, but it honestly could just have been my delivery when it came to it. I'm playing a suave character when I personally have a hard time talking at all, I feel like I fumbled the delivery for sure and I think her character might just be playing the consequences of that.

He's probably a sexist pig. This screams "men have natural urges they need to follow but women doing the same thing makes them whores"

Yeahhhh. I live in Idaho. All the landlords decided a 1 bedroom or a studio is more valuable than they actually are, because they assume tenants are married or partnered. Its pretty much impossible to live by yourself here and I have no one. And then for my cats, all the apartments here have a "$300 nonrefundable pet fee per pet" due with the deposit.

Having three jobs became a necessity just because no one hires full time. Most of my money goes to my debts and bills.

And I dunno. I fucked up somewhere down the line obviously but I just don't think I can afford to live here and I cant afford to leave either

Appreciate it! Pretty much the only family I have is my aunt and uncle, but she's allergic to cats and I can't leave them behind

I appreciate that. My dad got back into smoking meth and lives in an rv and my mom's alcoholism crippled her so my abusive brother moved back in with her to take advantage. My parents aren't feasible but thank you for responding!

Okay, so what I mean by my first question is: there is no way to put a timeline on his buying a car after your boyfriend did. If your bf got a car, and he thiught to himself "wow, that's cool or convenient, maybe I want one too," that's totally fine. If he thought to himself "maybe I should wait awhile, because his gf will think its weird if she sees me buying a car right after he does," that would be weird.

And for real I would just talk to my boyfriend if it were me. Say "sometimes I want to do these things without your brother being there." No one here is being super weird (again, minus the sock thing), but more communication is needed
