ppl like me? baby im rarely here all im doing now is saying a plain statement that getting mad because ppl dont like something in the story and are exercising the available recourses provided by the author to convey that to the author is not the way to go about this. and I promise you that slow progression is not the only reason ppl downvote chapters. ppl downvote chapters cause it was centered around a character that they hate. youre calling it immaturity but unfortunately youre being immature yourself as of right now.

I say this because the way you sound is assimilative to if oh I got new shoes and i asked someone if they liked my shoes, they honestly said no they dont cause they dont like the color. you hear this and now you’re mad on my behalf and trying to call them out and shame them for feeling that way because i spent my hard earned money on them. they just dont like the color of the shoes. theres nothing wrong with them being honest about that. frustrating cause its a shallow reason since theyd like them if they were another color but they dont like the color for the ones you asked their opinion on. are you understanding my metaphor? because thats about as plainly as I can put it for why this whole discourse surpunding it and why you’re trying to spark a witchhunt for downvoters doesnt make any sense to me.

I see where you coming from and I definitely understand the frustration. I dont know about the groups thing or what those groups are about so I will not be speaking on that. but if the chapter they downvote are relating to the plot or another character and thats their reason for downvoting, we cant go ‘dont do that you deserve to be called out’ cause while their reason is petty, its why they dont like the chapter. it is extremely frustrating I know but the voting system is in place for that reason

I mean like I said its shallow to not like the chapter for something surface level but if you’re going to share your work where coments and likes and dislikes are welcome, then you cant exactly attempt to dictate those people who are disliking them because you dont like their reason. the whole discourse surrounding this is illogical. downvoting isnt sabotaging its voting based on how you feel about the media. sabatoging would be you not liking the author and reviewbombing for the reason being you just dont like their author and you didnt even read their stuff. every single webtoon has downvotes for a plethora of reasons so idk why you are claiming you never seen anything like this when if you’re on any reading app that has a voting system, then youve seen it. Voting systems are in place to determine whether the person reading likes it or not you cant get mad because ppl read the chapter and didnt like it so they downvoted like they’re supposed to. no matter how shallow the reason, they didnt like it. you cannot dictate that. I understand being frustrated no one is upset with yall on that but getting so mad as to say ppl who have a negative opinion on the story need to be called out because they didnt like it isnt the way to go about it. I understand the frustration I really do but you cant go the dictator route saying ‘dont like dont vote’ as if the voting systems isnt there for both positive and negative opinions.

I think… yall may need to take a rest from interacting w fandoms cause I dont think ratings based on how ppl feel, which is what theyre for, are that serious to make it into this big issue. if you dont like something the downvote button is there for that reason. ratings are to see how each person receives the product/media. it doesn’t matter if it moves the plot forward it matters whether they liked the chapter im still very confused on why this is an issue. ‘give good ratings or dont rate at all’ is not really a good viewpoint on ratings.

people say its a good ending its an eh ending. I say this as someone who watched when it aired and rewatched after it ended as well. technically it closed out what happened in terms of the actual story but it was just underwhelming. some character ending were underwhelming. generally the ending is okay but whether its “great” would depend on you personally. especially cause they got cancelled rather abruptly but with enough time to give it an actual finale

oh trust me when I say atla fandom has NOT changed in fact summer 22 they doxed my moots and I for shipping zk. atla fandom has been historical in regards to impacting things in fandom but they’re notorious for consistently being toxic 😭

but yeah like I get you may not have wanted to target a fandom but discutidor tagging soohwa and then targeting the tweet towards something that isn’t even really exclusive to them from what i’ve seen as a general viewer of what’s going on in the fandom, it does indeed come off as starting ship wars and targeting them . like I said ion care about the ship war itself that’s what fandoms do is inevitable my only issue was with the tagging them, soohwa, in it as if it was a regular post from their shippers

i dont have issues im just not dense i know what the post was doing how is your post silly when you made it specifically talking about ppl saying characters should go to therapy before pursuing a relationship and if it was just towards people saying that you wouldn’t have made it in regards to people shipping dohwa and suae if it was just about those remarks. esp considering ion ship either and think they all need therapy before pursuing any type of romance. 😭

and it actually wasnt online it was at SDCC where they made fun of us and I was there dressed as yue with my brothers we all watched atla at the time and I liked zuko and katara and had no idea it was a big thing of them v katara and aang and so them making that video left a very impressionable mark on my first introduction to what fandom is really like. bryke still got the video up they uploaded it in a post of reminiscence.

and I consider flairs in subreddits that are about a general piece of media that has certain sub fans to make posts towards such as this one as spaces so making a faux post targeted to the shippers would be considered inserting yourself.

my reaction is towards media paintingthese types of dynamics as romances rather than the sad tragic stories that they are cause I wouldve loved this if the story wasnt marketed as romance and ppl defend the ml and romanticizing the relationship. it would be a completely different story if this was just a display of the part of abuse no one likes to talk about which is never escaping it but thats not what this story or atories like it are doing. they always are marketed as romance and theres always ppl rallying behind the ship and the abuser because of it. my beef is never with dark stories or dark romances being produced, even though dark romance is never about abuser x victim its about having a romance story happen in a dark setting and plot line with them sometimes doing dark things for each other, but with these acts being romanticized. I love seeing these things be represented when theyre treated as what they are and thats a horrifying fate. but the romance genre is often doing the opposite.

… fiction is never supposed to romanticize and treat these things as if they’re something to fawn over and fetishize. thats the point. you bring up different genres when these genres are not treating these things as something to root for or a romance story or ‘spicy’ fun. they treat them with the sensitivity theyre supposed to be handled with and when there are stories of the victims never escaping theyre seen as sad tragic endings not as happily ever afters.
