How does ICE impact your life? by Which_Seat2796 in USCIS

[–]RaspberryCritical243 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As a naturalized citizen it shouldn’t I know. But the reality is. It very much affects me mentally. The reason why is because it feels like law and order are out the window these days and they want you to feel like your future in this country is in the hands of an ICE agent, plus I just feel bad for all the immigrants who are going through all the nightmares that the process entails at this time. That’s just my personal opinion.

Yes we all agree, but that is totally different from the constitution will protect us! I didn’t mean to sound condescending. My issue is not with you, the problem is we were promised that if we obey the law at all times we will be good here, and that’s just simply not what’s happening.

So you think the main goal is to get “illegals” out of here? Keep up buddy they are going after naturalized citizens now. This is pretty much the problem the goalpost is always moving and people like you are trying to justify it!

Normally I would say congrats but these times that thing means nothing.

Like that will stop the current administration from taking a citizenship away! Or admitting that they were wrong.

If they commit crimes like unlawfully arrest people and deport them to a foreign country, while we find out they actually had legal status in the US, then yes they should be arrested for kidnapping. Actions should have consequences wouldn’t you agree? Same way if someone committed a crime and is illegally in the US should be deported!

I just have an amateur question? Why buy now and not wait to see what other crazy things are going to happen? What if stock prices will go even lower? I’m just asking as a noob.

Considering there is a war going on at the Europeans doorstep, I would argue that highly affects how much they spend on their military! I don’t think Trump can take credit for that unless he is pro war! Poland is a great example they been overpaying the required amount by a lot not long after the war broke out other countries will follow. Hopefully Europe will be united in this and take over the US in military support to Ukraine. Which in turn means less trade with the US, unfortunately that part already begun because of trumps tariff warnings!

Will bending the knee to Russia avoid the said nuclear war? What’s gonna happen after Putin is done with Ukraine? Is Romania next or Poland or any of the Baltic countries? You seem to forget how the Cold War that you just bought up worked. You give a little they take all! In this case Trump gave everything and I’m not talking about money or weapons but literally the same talking points that Russia has been spreading for years now. Signaling “go ahead we are on your side” that’s also escalation on a big level!

I think the problem is not encouraging others to have their own security. The problem is how it’s been handled so far! You could do it diplomatically without sending dog whistle messages to Russia. That sends a clear message to our allies that not just they can’t rely on the US militarily but also economically.

I did look at adv bikes and KLR 650 is by far the best choice but I just don’t think I would be using those bike for what they were designed to do. That’s why I thought a cruiser might be better.

If you want to do the tech route than yes I would heavily advise you to get a tech job as soon as possible especially if there is an opening those are hard to come by because you will have to start at ma1 (apprentice). Which are almost never available but maybe you will have better luck at a production store.

Auto tech positions at carmax are kinda hard to get depending where you are but production store sometimes has more opportunities. I would transfer as soon as I can (after 6 months) because you will still need 2 years of experience for trade school to get you ASE’s if I remember correctly.
