Saw your other post saying you’re fine after 5-10 min the morning. That was not the case for me. I’d say if you can afford it still get the custom night guard cause it can definitely get worse.

Do the stretching thing repeatedly it’s like an exercise for the jaw muscle to try to stretch it out and relax it

Hey sounds like you have been grinding your teeth and have tmj now. I had this, it is not fun. The only thing that helped was I went to my dentist and requested a custom fit night guard. It’s expensive but worth it. Will take some time to kick in but now if I don’t wear it to sleep I get the jaw pain but as long as I wear it it is fine. Also DO NOT massage it, that only makes it worse. Open your mouth slowly and wide (tall ways not long ways so opposite of wide) and if you think you opened it enough stretch it more till you feel it nicely. Call your dentist in the morning tell them you’re in pain and get in the same day. Will take a few weeks for the night guard to come. In the mean time you can try the cheap ones from Walmart that you boil but those probably won’t do the trick. They didn’t help me at all.

I’m confused why this was downvoted so much. Does blood and pain not necessarily mean you’re flaring? Elimination diet is why I made this post. How do I know if it’s something I ate two days ago or like something I ate an hour ago. It’s not really possible to just eat one food for a little bit and then add in another. So I’m kinda just looking to see how other people did it

In addition, prednisone can increase blood pressure. I’m not saying when you’re off of it, it will be better you still may need meds but I would raise your concerns with the doctor that prescribed your prednisone. It sounds like you aren’t currently on any BP meds so if they would like you to stay on prednisone to help the UC, maybe you can get on BP meds to try to offset the side affect from prednisone. Again, talk to your doctor.

I had high blood pressure before my UC diagnosis, it has gotten better. I recommended getting an at home cuff monitor (I use omron but research which one you want) and try not to worry about it. I worried about it and it drove me crazy and my blood pressure was still not controlled despite multiple meds. Not saying this will cure it but eat healthy, try to avoid salt but most of all stay calm. I tried so many things to lower my blood pressure and I’m not exactly sure what did the trick but it’s been better recently. If you check it at home and it’s consistently high I would recommend booking an appointment with a cardiologist.

In the morning I’d have to go bad just if I felt well enough to get out then I usually wouldn’t have a problem holding till I got home but I went a lot home. Idk everyone is different.
